How Do I Avoid Entering My Credit Card Info In Amazon.com

I may have put the wrong income amount on a credit card application, and now I'm terrified. Help?!?

I'm 20 years old and I just applied for the Amazon Rewards Visa credit card. Recently, my father moved out and now my mother and I have less of an income. However, when I applied for the application, I put down an estimated household income amount of when he was here. Now that's he's gone though, I'm worried the credit card company may see that it is less, and I really don't want to get in trouble. Could I get in trouble for doing that? Also, should I retract my application to avoid getting in trouble? I'm really worried now. I've read horror stories about people lying on their credit card applications and the banks blacklisting them and they can never apply for credit again. I'm absolutely terrified that the bank might do this to me because I put the wrong income amount. Before he left it was around $160,000 which is what I put on the application, and now it's less than that!

I entered an amazon gift card, now it's not showing up under on my account, and won't redeem again?

Alright, I got two $25 amazon gift cards for Christmas. I entered one and used it. Then I entered the next and used it, but cancelled my order. Now, when I'm logged into my account and go to gift card balance, it says I have $0.00 instead of the $29 dollars I should (I had four dollars left over from the first). I've tried redeeming my card again, but Amazon keeps telling me the numbers are wrong and that I must have mistyped something.

Why don't I have gift card money in my account anymore? I cancelled the order I originally spent it on! AHHH.
thanks for helping.

How does Amazon charge your credit card without adding the back security code?

Credit card companies allow transactions with and without the CVV code.  For most retailers they charge less if they require the CVV code, because it reduces fraud.  Amazon chooses not to require it to make things easier on the customer.

Why does Amazon not require a security (CVV) code for credit card transactions?

In my experience, they do. Amazon requests the CVV when you first supply credit card information to authorize your card before storing it. CVV cannot contractually be stored, however, so Amazon does not use this value for subsequent transactions.

Have you been asked to re enter your amazon details?

I have been an an amazon customer for 3 years, have had plenty of stuff mailed to my house but today when I signed in and tried to buy something I was asked to re enter my address and phone number before I could buy the product I was a little skeptical of it but entered it anyway... then I noticed that the last 4 digits of my credit card were recognised but I was asked to re enter my full card number... I thought to myself no way am I doing that

So I am just wondering if you have been asked to re enter your details..... could this big a bug on my pc or what do you think is wrong??? Im kinda freaking out cos you often here of people getting scammed by scam artist??????????????????????

What happens when billing address is incorrectly entered for a credit card transaction?

It depends if the merchant is willing to accept orders where the addresses don't match. Some merchants have the system automatically decline any transaction where the address given by the customer doesn't match the address the bank has on file. Other merchants are willing to accept the risk of a charge back so they'll accept the order. Some online merchants may tentatively accept the order, but then have the fraud department review the order manually before actually shipping the product or completing the order. They look for other red flags that may indicate a fraudulent transaction and will decide whether to process the order or cancel the order without charging the card (or issuing a refund if they already did). The customer usually is never told about the fraud department looking at their order unless it looks suspicious, although the customer might notice a slight delay in processing their order if the merchant decides to process the order despite the address not natching.

Amazon.com does not accept Vanilla MasterCard (debit card)?

bet you did not register the card in your name and adress on the gift card issue website right?
this article explains things
Using Visa or American Express Gift Cards to Shop Online

One of the most asked gift card questions, particularly on Yahoo Answers is whether you can use a Visa or any other bank issued gift card (American Express, Discover, or MasterCard) to shop online. The answer is yes.

However, there are additional steps you have to take to prevent your card from being rejected by the merchant. The problem with using Visa (or any other bank issued) gift card online is that there is no verifiable name and address associated with the card. When buying things online, most merchants want your name and billing address to match the name and address you have on file with your card (credit, debit, or bank gift card) issuer.

Therefore, before you use your Visa or other bank issued gift card, call the merchant/financial institution that issued the card or go to their website and add your name and address to the card. This will ensure that when you use the card online, the name and address you provide to the merchant for billing will match the name and address on file for the card. Once you have registered your card, you can use it online just like you would use a regular credit card.

If your information (name and address) has changed since you registered your Visa gift card, call the card issuer or go online and update your information before you use the card online.

Why does Amazon keep declining my payment?

Like goddamn I'm just trying to order $20 worth of stuff with my parents' credit card. I entered in the credit card information and the billing address exactly. It's not a sketchy card or anything, it's a perfectly regular card with plenty of money on it. Amazon says my order went through and then a day later I get an email saying ng payment was declined with no reason given except "sometimes banks may withhold orders if the name or address doesn't match exactly" so I try it again and get the same message a day later. What the **** do o have to do to make a goddamn $20 purchase? Call the damn bank? Is it because the credit card name has a middle initial and the billing address I left it out? Avert a goddamn theft crisis for not including a middle initial? Goddamn, I swear. Why do banks suck so much. I mean can they at least give me a REASON why it didn't go through so that I can rectify it? Someone please explain to me why it keeps getting declined? Is it because Amazon automatically turned my zip code into extended version but the credit card is associated with the shorter version? Some basic tiny difference like that? Like goddamn, please explain to me what exactly the **** is wrong with my payment.
