How do the "popular" people act at your high school?
Most kids at my school that are what I would consider "popular" (which actually includes myself) are: 1. Very smart 2. Athletic 3. Fun-loving 4. Act crazy at parties and dances 5. Are friendly to everyone 6. Don't bias friends on gender 7. Ethical 8. Flirtatious Maybe my school is a bit different... most of my friends go to church and are Christian. I wear a purity ring. But I like having fun. Flirting, having lots of friends, etc.... it's all part of having fun during the "best years," is it not? But everywhere is different, obviously. I consider "popularity" being nice and having tons of friends. I have a lot of friends, and I have straight A's, am very religious, and I just like to have fun. Popularity and stupidity can be associated with each other, but just because you're popular doesn't mean that you are stupid. EDIT: Wow, BoBiceLuver.... when you say that you aren't as "stupidd" as people think you are, are you serious?
What makes people popular in high school?
people who are usually annoying are popular they r very pushy and make themselves heard, its not just the jocks and cheerleaders, the people who are un-popular like me are not necessarily quiet but i cant explain it is really difficult to put into words but like usually the kids who are popular it just sort of happens they make it happen, they r not the funniest ones, they make it known who they r if u sorta understand me i think i can say the pros and cons better Popular- Positive- a lot of people know u everyone wants to be your friend sometimes u can bully the other people and make them do stuff people are sorta scared of u a little bit some people r so they get a laff out of intimidating u Negative- People only wanna be your friend because yr popular they don't really know u Some kids have a really strong hate against u even tho they don't know u yr kinda expected to care more about looks at social stuff more than school which doesn't pay off in the long run u always have to fit in and be perfect because sometimes they will kick u out of the little clique. Un-Popular Positives- U have friends who like u for u yr free to focus on what ever u want people try to get to know u before they judge u u don't have all that pressure to be perfect because yr real friends wont kick u out if u don't wear the right thing or say the right thing teachers usually like u more. Have friends who u will be friends with after HS the popular people will most likely not be friends because they wont have much to talk about Negative- people mite pick on u more u don't get like special treatment i don't think there's that many negatives in my opinion being un popular is better and I'm not just saying that because i am unpopular, if i really wanted to be popular then i guess i cud really work on my outfits make up hair things like that but i don't see it as important. i hope i helped u out i always wondered about that too i explained the best i cud

Hii ! Im a bit chubby, but still cute ppl tell me that ii godd a big butt lols.. How could i become popular in high school. Its my first year, and i would like to get throught the next 3 years without being bullied. The popular crowd always interested me. I make friends very easily, im very friendly, and i would do ALMOST anything to be popular. I wouldnt mind the limelight, or a bit of it. Help please.

What happens to the popular kids after high school? Reality sets in. It's time to be a grown up and not play those childish games any longer. They may hold on to some of their friends, but they're no longer in school where they can bully others to make themselves feel better. Unless they go to college and get a degree (any degree, the education will help mature them) they're just going to be the sad little excuses of flesh they've always been, while people like you become the boss. Best friend became popular and ditched me?
Hey, I'm sorry to hear this. I went through a similar situation. In elementary and middle school, I used to be very close friends with a group of girls who are now beautiful and popular. They are real snobby now and ignore their old friends. Your friend is a different person now. When you think of her, you mostly think of memories. That is all in the past. It's sad to think about, but your friendship is most likely over. I would love to be friends with my old friends again but they have changed and we have drifted apart. When you're a teenager, you lose a lot of friends you had as a kid because people change a lot throughout their teen years. As you get older, you will be making new, solid friends who will be there for you. Try to focus your attention on the friends you have now. I think back a lot and miss those times with my old friends, but it is in the past. The only way you can get over her is to just let time pass. As time goes on, you will think of her less and less. Try not to compare yourself to her. I'm sure you are a beautiful, great person. If she is going to put popularity before you, she isn't worth your time or thoughts.
