so they can make sure you are not using a card that doesnt belong to you think about it. if you just found a card somewhere, all you would have is the card number. but if the card belonged to you, you would know the billing address as well. so by imputting the billing address, they will know if you actually own that card or if you are just using it
Hi,First let me inform you that the billing address & shipping address must be same, if you select for a COD option. Its not possible to deliver at one place and take payment at other place. Also there is no surety that after receiving product customer will pay if billing address is different.For this reason flipkart.com kept billing & shipping address same. I have been buying stuff on steam with multiple credit cards (debit not allowed).I have given the same billing address on all the transactions (my home). Until now there was no communication of billing to the address. Only issue you need to worry if you are purchasing without card holder’s knowledge is that they will get the message (not OTP only transaction statement) on their mobile.
