How Do I Change The Setting On Email So That When I Reply The Original Message Isn

Mail option about including the original mail in reply does not work?

When I tried to reply a mail, it tells me that it found the original mail but can't include it in the reply. I thought it is because of the size of the attachments in the mail I was replying to. So, I went into mail options and change the options regarding including the original mail in the reply to "Don't". After that I saved the new setting. Now when I go to reply the mail, it still tries to include the original mail and fails to include it. What is going on here? Please help, anyone.

How do I change the reply email address?

you can change how your name appears on your outgoing email. Adjusting the "From" field changes how your name appears in other peoples' incoming mail. You can also adjust the email address they'll send a message to when they click "Reply."

Here's how to do it:

1. Click Options in the upper-right corner of your Yahoo! Mail page and select Mail/More Options.
2. From the list on the left, click Accounts.
3. Click Yahoo! Mail under Accounts
4. In the your 'From' name" field, enter your name exactly as you'd like it to appear within your outgoing messages
5. If you leave the Reply-To field blank, your Yahoo! Mail address will be automatically included as the return address in your outgoing messages. If you'd like a different return address to be included, enter it in the Reply-To field
6. Click the "Save" button to put your new settings into effect.

♦You have to write something in the "Name" field. If left blank, whatever was written there before will be restored and your changes won't be saved. Please note that it isn't possible to 'hide" your email address when sending messages from a Yahoo! Mail account.

How do I change my e-mail reply to "NOT" include the orginal message?

Glad to know I am not the only Mail Plus Customer not happy with the option removed. Yes, it is a pain, as the option was there for us to check whether or not to include the original email with our reply. Yahoo does not care if us Mail Plus Paid Customers do not want the option removed, they just did it. Why, according to them everyone wanted it to be sent, if they did all they had to do was not check the option not to include. Now it takes extra time and effort to remove the original email before we send the reply. Maybe these "jerks" will pay attention to how many of us want the option returned. G

How do I change my settings so the after deleting a mail the next message isn't automatically openend?

have to go into personal options..there is a option to turn that on or off on the options screen

When I open an attachment and reply to an email then the attachment disappears from the original email.?

Thats Yahoo for you...I just checked and the same thing happened to me. I have to assume Yahoo thinks the sender does not need the attachment AGAIN.

If you want him/her to receive it back you will have to FORWARD the email and add their email address before sending.

Come to think of it ...I have to agree with Yahoo on this one

How to reply to an email without including the original message. No option in General Preferences.?

The option IS in General Preferences (in Classic). It's under "Message Actions", then "Replying". But sometimes it's more considerate and sometimes even necessary to the person receiving a reply to include the original message. I've gotten replies to emails that I had no idea what they were reply to because the original message wasn't there. So you're better off having it include the message, and then when you're absolutely sure it's not necessary, just delete the text from the original message in your reply.

(The option to change that isn't in the All-New Mail, but you can switch back over to Classic to change that setting if you really have to. Again, I'd recommend leaving it and just deleting the times you don't need the original text.)

How do you "Reply to All" using yahoo email?

To reply to a message that you have received in your Yahoo! Mail account, you must first open the message on your screen. When the message is open:
Click the "Reply" button located at the top of the message window to reply only to the sender of the message.>>> If you would like to reply to everyone, click on the down arrow and then select "Reply To Everyone." This will send your reply to all recipients of the original message, as well as the sender of the message.

Next, a Compose window will appear. If you clicked "Reply," only the sender's email address will appear in the To: field.
If you clicked "Reply To Everyone," all addresses the original message was sent to will appear in the To: and/or Cc: fields. In addition, the sender's address will appear in the To: field.

You can also add new email addresses, if you wish.

Depending on your *Preferences setting, you will see all, part, or none of the sender's message in the large text window. The original message will be set off by ">" symbols on the left margin.

Type your reply. If you have quoted the sender's message, you can type in the area above or below the sender's message, as well within the sender's message itself.

Click "Send" to send your reply.
Please note: If you are in the middle of composing a message, it's important that you either send the message or click "Save as Draft" before clicking any of the links on the folder list or before viewing another site. If you don't do this, your browser's "Back" button may not work to retrieve the text that you have typed.

To protect the privacy of your account, be sure to click the "Sign Out" link located on the top-right side of the page.

*To edit your Preferences setting to change the way messages are quoted (or not quoted) in your replies, click the "Mail Options" link located on the top-right corner. Then choose "General Preferences" and make your selection under the Replying section of the Message Actions heading. Be sure to click the "Save" button at the bottom of the window to put your new preferences into effect.

How can I reply/forward an email without the recipient seeing the previous thread?

Yes you can manually remove the text before clicking send or depending on which email client you are using change the email setting to not include the text.

In Microsoft Outlook you can do this by going to Tools -> Options -> Email Options

In Yahoo mail go to Options (top, far right of the screen and click More Options. Then uncheck the option to 'Quote the text of the original message'

Other mail clients should have the setting under one of the option menus
