Try cleaning up your browser/computer or try different one. You can also log out and then, in your account.

If that doesn't work, wait for Facebook to fix for you. This takes awhile for admins to fix the problem.

How to change your status on facebook.?

Let other people know what you are up to! Changing your status on Facebook will let people know what you are doing. The status change will appear in their news feed, allowing them to keep updated on your everyday life, and even leave comments.

Instructions

1

Log into Facebook using the email that is tied to the account and the password that was selected during registration
2

Find your profile picture in the top left hand corner of the page. This will be the picture that you chose to show up as your profile picture on other pages. If you have not selected a profile picture, it will show up as a default silhouette in the place where the picture would go.
3

Position the cursor in the box that asks "What are you doing right now?" When you click on this, the box will go blank and the cursor will appear at the right of the words "(your name) is." The status updates are put into this format, (your name) is (whatever you want to say). Example: "John is feeling sick."
4

Decide what it is that you want to put in this box as your status update and type it in the box that has been selected. You can change the word "is" to anything else as well. "Is" is the default setting, but it can be changed to anything that you want to type in that space, however, the name cannot be edited. Example: "John feels sick."
5

Post the status update by selecting the post button to the right of the activated box where you typed in the information. Once this box is pushed it will become live and all your friends can see that your status update has been updated.

If a post on Facebook is 'only me' and then later change the privacy settings to 'public', will the post appear on my friends' timeline/wall?

Ok, this is not major issue that you describe. It needs a simple answer but after read all answers i think that people made it hard. When you set post's Privacy at ‘only me’ that means that on one is able to see this without you. Here you can see that this post in below photo is private. But when i set this post's privacy to ‘public’. there is 99% chance that this post is not appear on your friend's timeline only because that this post is old post and facebook doesn't reappear old post on users timeline. How can you make that post visible on friend's timeline? That's very simple you can do this thing on any facebook post to make it visible on tour friend's and followers timeline.Just comment on particular post to make it visible on your friend's timeline That's done.Image source: mobile gallery

How Come I Can't Change My Basic Information On Facebook?

I think they must have been getting many complaints about this feature disappearing all of a sudden thereby taking this control away and thus making everyone email in order to edit or change your birthday instead of letting us edit our own info ourselves - because it seems once you created a Facebook account and put in your basic info such as Birthday then all of a sudden you could NOT edit your birthday and they were making us email them asking for "permission" and giving a reason why you needed it changed (that's just Bull*&%%)- and glad to see they gave us back that control - but in my frustration while we did not have that control I did find a "backdoor" into your own profile and posted it below - But since then, and this is only just recently they changed it back - so now you once again have control over your own profile info and here's how you do it:
- Click on your Profile page, then
- Click on "Info" located on the left side of page, then
- at the very Top Center just below your name you can click on "Edit Profile"
- and here is where you can change or edit our birthday, and the like.

But just in case they ever decide to take this control away you can also go thru a secure backdoor site (which they now call "Mobile Facebook" located as follows:

Open browser (mozilla firefox)(IE)
>>type m.facebook.com into your browser and log in.
>>click "PROFILE"
>>"INFO"(thats beside the "wall")
>>see "BASIC INFO"
>>Click "BIRTHDAY"(blue color) and from there u can change it too...
hope this helps u..
I already did it.. and it works for me

How do I change the thumbnail of Facebook videos?

You can do it after it posts. However there is an odd glitch. Click on the video. Pause it if you wish as you don't need it playing. Now there is a button on the right "Edit Video". However, for some reason, Facebook hasn't included the Thumbnail option on the screen that leads to.Instead, hover your mouse over the video and a button appears below "Options". Click that and then click "Edit this video". Now you will see a similar screen to the one from that other "Edit" button, but this one has the Thumbnail selection at the right hand side. Scroll left and right through the (up to 10) thumbnails available until you find your preferred one. Click "Save" and you're done!How-to Change a Facebook Video Thumbnail [Tutorial]
