How Do I Configure My Computer To Beep When I Get A Mail In My Facebook Inbox

If I muted our conversation in Facebook messenger, will I still be able to receive his calls?

Yes.The only way to stop your F.B friends from  voice calling you, is to “Mute” them via the app, one by one. Go to  their profile in your contact list on the app, and click the i icon top  right, click “notifications” and then Mute notifications for as long as  needed. The only other way to stop your friends from calling you is to  remove the messaging app and the F.B app completely from your phone, or  disable notifications for Facebook in notification settings in your  device settings. You may also be getting unwanted calls from  “non-Facebook Friends” This can occur if you have your phone number or  email listed in your F.B profile, and have settings enabled in F.B to be  found via those connections. It can also occur if you are both a member  of the same F.B group (see pic above with explanation of message  filtering options).Note: When you install F.B  Messenger it changes your previous setting of “friends” for “Who Can  Look You UP” for your phone number to “everyone”. Change the “Who Can  Look You UP” settings to “Friends Only”  Make sure your email addy is  also set to friends only. See pic above for instructions

I have a Facebook message request but when I open it there is no message?

You message requests are messages sent to you via someone not on your friends list. It’s in a folder called “message requests” and to find it go to your inbox or messenger and click on recent messages and you should see a gear icon on the left side. Click that and it should give you some options including message request. Click on that and your message should be in that folder.

My account says there is two messages when my computer turns on and I can't access them.?

Hi,
LThey are there, you just can't see them!!! I know that sound sill but it is so.
Sorry, it is just part of the glitch in Yahoo!'s new format.
Server Farm incompatibility is usually the problem.
Thousands are having many different problems with their e-mail.
This applies to almost all areas of mail (including signing in, composing, receiving, sending, attachments, photos, etc.), original and beta mail, messenger and search problems. I have been sent mail that is dated as far back as 8 days. But I do get it!!! The same thing applies to their recieving my mail, for the last few weeks.
Yahoo! is wrapping up a few remaining compatibility issues between Yahoo! Mail Beta (beta testing lasts for at least 6 months!!!) and the new Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.
1. You will have less problems with original mail if you sign in via Messenger! Go to preferences, general, then check box: Automatically sign me in when I click a Yahoo! link in Messenger.
2. Or if you don't have Yahoo Messenger:
Beta wouldn't let me in so I went to beta help and it said to click on my toolbar mail icon. So I did and it worked!
3. Or if you don't have beta mail:
http://wap.oa.yahoo.com/ can be used to sign into Yahoo!, then put yahoo back into the address bar and hit go. It will take you back to Yahoo! and you can open mail normally. Otherwise, you can open mail in wap, but it is blind. I had to go through wap each time I logged in.
4. BETA means TESTING!!!
So, it seems we have to stop using these two programs (if you installed them) or try to work around them until they finish wrapping things up. Your IE6 is still installed, so you just have to go to: Start, settings/control panel, add/remove programs and delete IE7. For Beta mail you only have to use the switch back option located in your mail inbox. Also, where you sign in by clicking on: Are you having trouble?. You can keep trying them periodically!

I hope this helps you.

Facebook problem brother is hacking my account?

About 2 weeks ago my brother went on my Facebook. I left my phone home one day while I was at school bc my mother's cell phone broke and she needed to use mine. When I came home from school I had like 50 notifications from facebook! I went on facebook to see what they were, and my brother posted really bad things. He made me sound very bad, and I immediately deleted the statuses. But he also messaged people too. I read all the messages and he wrote really bad things to people who go to my school. I wrote back to everyone saying that my brother hacked my Facebook. Some people believed me but others thought I was lying. When I went to school the next day a lot of students were giving me mean looks.
Then yesterday another incident happened. I was on facebook while I using my phone. My brother came and took it out of my hand and ran to his room. He locked the door and 10 minutes later he came out laughing. He gave me back my phone and once again he wrote crazy posts and messages to people. I didn't go to school today (It was teachers work day) but I'm so scared to go tommorow. I understand that there are some people who hack Facebooks and maybe write a status that is stupid on there friends phone just for a joke, but my brother goes too far. What should I do? Do you think it's normal for him to be acting like this if he's 22?

Can I set up an auto-reply in Facebook messages to tell people to email me instead?

Thank you for your question. You can set up an auto-response in Facebook telling people to contact you by email.Go to your settings and messaging. You can use Response Assistant. Switch to “Yes”Type your message with the email you want people to contact you using the tag for their first name. A preview will show. You can also use the “Send Instant Replies,” which basically does the same thing.I hope this helps.

If you send someone a message on Facebook. Then Block then unblock them can they still view your message?

I sent a message to someone. Right after I blocked this person. Now by my idiotic greediness I unblocked the person. Can they still view this message and see that it is from me? Also does anyone know why you have to wait 2 days before you can re-block someone?

Ps. I don't know if this matters but I have everyone of my Privacy setting to only friends. And I am not friends with this person.

Thanks in Advance.

How do I configure desktop notification for Hotmail?

Hotmail and windows live mail are the unified system adopted by Microsoft. So in order to turn desktop notification of hotmail, simply configure the windows live mail client. For that log on in Windows live mail using the hotmail credentials.Go to OPTIONS in the app and then mail. After that ensure that PLAY SOUND is checked. That's it.

Why do messages on Facebook Messenger sometimes change from "seen" to "delivered"?

Paul Olaru is correct.  I am not sure what version of Messenger you're using, but "Seen" means the person opened their chat or Messenger to the conversation.  My version of Messenger doesn't have "Delivered" as a status message, but it says "sent" if the message has not yet been opened by the recipient (Apple's iMessages shows "delivered" if the message was sent but not opened, and "read" if it was opened).  In Messenger specifically a "seen" message may have a little circle with a miniature of the recipient's profile picture next to the message to indicate that she's opened it; a "sent" but not opened message has a check-mark next to it.Edit: Combined three answers on merged questions.  This question is very merge-worthy; I rarely go more than a couple days without a new A-to-A on the exact same question.  I won't be answering it in the future, nor any similar question, because there's not much to add.  Hopefully one of these answers will be helpful.Originally Answered: I sent someone a private message on Facebook, and their profile picture icon showed up, indicating that they read it. When I look at the icon next to our last two conversations, it is a white circle with a blue checkmark. Does that indicate that they marked it as unread or deleted the message? It usually means they haven't looked at the latest message in the conversation, whatever that may be.  You got the "seen" icon for any messages that were there the last time they went into the conversation, but if you have sent a new one since then they might not have "seen" it.I've seen numerous questions on Quora asking about the following: If you had a "seen" icon and it changed back to a blue circle without you sending any more messages in between? That I think must be a database glitch—I have attempted several times to recreate such a situation with my computer, phone, and a dummy FB account that I mostly use for testing, and I wasn't able to recreate a situation like that when I experimented with it just now.  I've never seen it in the "wild", either.  And as of today, 20 September 2015, FB aren't marking messages "Delivered" on the desktop chat window either.Whether the other person deletes or marks unread a conversation affects only the way it shows up on their device, not yours.

How can I get a Facebook password?

There’s no way to see your Facebook password from with Facebook itself. This prevents someone from using a device with your Facebook account logged in to either steal your password or change it on you (neither of which would be good). That being said, if you use Facebook in a web browser instead of the Facebook app and you have the browser remember your password and sign you in automatically, you can easily retrieve your password from the browser. Here are instructions for Google Chrome and Firefox:If you’re using Chrome…1 – Launch your Chrome browser.2 – Type http://chrome://settings/passwords into the address bar, then press the Enter key. That should display a list of your stored passwords (obscured by a row of dots).3 – Find the hidden password for the site you want to retrieve the password for and click the “eye” icon. The plain text password should appear. If you’re using Firefox…1 – Launch Firefox and click the Menu button. It’s located in the top-right corner of the windows and it looks like three horizontal lines stacked atop one another.2 – Click Settings.3 – Click the Privacy & Security link over in the left-hand column.4 – Click Saved Logins.5 – Click Show Passwords.6 – Click Yes to confirm that you really want to display the passwords. You should now see a list of all the passwords that Firefox has stored along with the online accounts they are associated with.7 – Search the list for the account in question, then write its stored password down for future reference. That’s all there is to it. Good luck!Source: Q&A: Can I retrieve a forgotten password from my web browser?
