How do I convince my mom to move with me to US?
I would encourage your mother to recognize the tough and growing tougher economic and political situations that the USA is struggling with. I can't imagine transit or relocating being shut down between our beloved territory of Puerto Rico and USA, but I can imagine many other things happening that could impact all sorts of resettling options. Recently President Obama committed to accepting the relocation of 3,000 refuges from the criminal violence that is being committed in Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras by October 2016. This will lead to more competition to services designed to both protect and help people (as well as another 85,000 from all over the world, including 10,000 from Syria). As managing our population gets more complicated, all it takes is a few disasters for the government to ramp up certain population control measures... tell your mom NOW is the time to come, not later, before too many others are competing for the resources that she deserves, as an American! Just tell her, she can ALWAYS return to Puerto Rico, such a beautiful place. I can't help but ask, if you all are followers of Jesus (?), if so, you may have heard of a special little church called the House of Restoration and Mercy? If you have not heard of it there are two videos I recommend, one from 2010 modestly done, and then one in 2012 done by a lady named Patricia King who hosts a show called The Extreme Prophetic. If you go, could you please ask that very humble group to pray for me and my son to get my son and his brother out of Africa to us to his new home as soon as possible. PLEASE. Thank you. Just so you know, at least as of a couple years ago, the little church in Puerto Rico is very humble and focuses on worship. There, God's Angels come and hang out, heavenly oil pours out of the ceiling, walls and pulpit and is squeezed out of the bible; BIG Angels leave footprints made of diamond dust and more than 1,800 gems have fallen by a couple years ago. Just sayin... if you're there, you might as well stop in... no? May get the prayers you need to get your mom over her fear of change... Convince Parents to Move to LA?
I live in San Fransisco I go visit Los Angeles to see family. It is totally different than you see on TV. It is very smoggy. The air is not clean. There are areas that are lower income like east Los Angeles and Compton. That are not wise to go to because of crime. To be honest the traffic at rush hour is very bad it took me 3 hours to drive 50 miles to my destination like going 0 miles per hour. Sometimes people have to go to the bathroom and bring bottles to do it and litter on the side of the free way.LA is actually a whole bunch of cities that are all in the LA County. Like Santa Monica and West Hollywood which are nice places that border each other. The not so great areas are Compton which has gangs and a lot of crime. Downey and Whittier are near there also and have mixed good and bad areas I went through Compton and it was not pleasant it had graffiti on buildings everywhere it looked rundown trashy.If you want to move there then move to West Hollywood, Santa Monica or Beverly Hills. They all are very expensive that's where the celebrities live. I hope this helps.

First of all keep this in mind that no mother would ever believe such kind of things in a short period of time. So try to keep a good time duration as a target for your goal.Next, a very simple and straight forward solution would be to contribute to the earnings of your family personally. As you said that you have an income from ‘fixed’ assets ,why not start with some kind of regular earning for your family that could be called substantial for those depending on it. By doing so you will put yourself in a position of respect and responsibility which is worthy enough to be heard of.In today's world its not very difficult to earn a regular income if you send your ego and attitude to bed.Hope this helps.

so i'm 16 and i live in europe. i've tried to convince my parents to move to the US for a long time' not only cause i'm crazy about the US but also from a financial reasons. you see, here everything is wayy more expensive then in the US, and lately my father find it hard to get a job, my brother works with him and my mum works for the average amount of money, and the taxes and electricity and water and gas and those thing are 4 times more expensive in here. also accept of the money thing my kinda dream is to live in the US so.... yeah, anyways,every time i talk to them about moving they find excusess, some are probably right but not all, see they're saying they might not get a job there (my father is a truck driver and works with electronic shops, delivering, transformer or whateverr it calls.. my brother with him. my mum also is a house agent, or Intermediary? not sure hot to call it lol) also, they say that they don't knolanguagege, which is right, but i believe if we live there they can learn easilyy right? i mean, with my brother and my help. also they say that if we do it and it won't work we will stay with nothing' cause to do that we need to sell the house and that.. but i think that in max 5 year we will probably lose the house anyways.... its a big house and all, but since everything is so expensivee.. yeah... so i mean, if we move we could, maybe, have similarr house, and we will be able to keep it (if they will find a job). also they find the wors texcusee in the world, family. not like i don't love them or something, but i know that's not a real reason, i know they reallyy wanna move' but all those excusess are just cause they're scared.... how can i convince them? for their kind of job, can they find a job in the US? is the US is as good as it sounds? have any idea how to convince them?

so , i lived in tennessee for 12 years & we recently moved to georgia ( me , my brother , my mom , & my dad ) i am in tennessee visiting right now & i miss it soo muchh ! me & my mom have talked about moving back but she wont budge .. i told her its not bc of friends or anything .. this is where i wanna live ! i told her the more i stay in ga the more i hate it & the more i wanna move back to tn. i have lived in ga for about a yr & a half now & absolutelyhate it ! visiting tn now is me my bro & my mom .... everytime i ask her f we can moved back she says we have to go back home & i say ga isnt my home tn is ! & i have cried to her about how much i want to live here ! she keeps saying well ... nevermind im not gonna say anyhting untill i know for sure ! the reason we moved to ga is bc her parents are their & we have been without them for about 15 years now ! i told her its not easy moving at a young age & i cry almost everyday i think about it .. how could i convince her to move back here ! not bc of friends ... even though i miss my bf & my best friends tonsss ! How can I convince my mom to let me move downstairs?
About 3 years ago, my parents remodeled our downstairs/basement area into one big room. I'm 14 years old and a freshman in high school and have been asking to move down there since 6th grade and my mom won't let me no matter what I say. She keeps telling me that she wants it to be a "family" room, which was the original reason she remodeled it, but no one ever goes down there and it has hardly any furniture. It's just sitting there. The only time anyone goes down there is when my mom does the taxes, but there's an empty room that used to be an office that would be perfect for that. She also uses the excuse that she can't keep an eye on me down there, but honestly I'm not doing anything that she wouldn't approve of and I think she knows that. She just doesn't want me down there for some reason. My room is too small and too crowded and I need a place that I can sit down and do homework and things, and there's no place I can do that upstairs. I also could use my own bathroom, which is also downstairs. How can I convince my mom that I'm responsible enough to move down there?
How to convince my parents to move to Florida?
I currently live in the most poorest and dangerous part of CA. I hate the city I live in right now... I seriously do. I always wanted to live in Florida, the weather seems so nice and peaceful and then you have the rain which helps me sleep at night. I have 2 brothers and one sister, one mom and dad, total of six people. Problem is, my parents are divorced so that leaves complications with my dad, and my mom has a BF which also has its own problems since he has a job in CA..... Also, my mom doesn't know if she can work over there. And I live about 30-40 minutes away from LA, I am hoping to get an acting career but in Florida they don't something similar to Hollywood.
