How Do I Convince My Parents To Move To California

How could I convince my parents to move to California?

Have you consider the cost of living in California? I know because I use to live there. It is higher there than where you live now. Trying to convince your parents to move is like trying to pull a tooth from a great white shark....lol. But, seriously, the only way you can convince your parents to move to Cali. is :

1. One or both of your parents job(s) transfers to Cali.
2. You get a movie contract that makes it easier for your parents to move (i.e. mucho dinero $$$$$$)
3. You can convince them it would be worth their while.

How could you convince your parents to move to California?

When I was 13, I tried to convince my grandfather to buy the ruins of a castle in Ireland. (Being a Texas cattle rancher and rice farmer, he didn't quite see the point.)

It didn't work, but it didn't hurt. Learned a lot about persuasive arguing and what not to say. So give it a whirl.

I still think it would've been a great investment!

How can I convince my parents to move to California?

Actually, my mom was talking about moving to California...but it was kind of just an idea. I want to convince her further. So I'd say my chance of moving there is a little more then 0 percent hun.

How can i convince my family to move to California?

How about when you turn 18, you move there and realize how hard it is to live there! Your parents will be paying double (or even TRIPLE) the amount of what they're paying right now.

California is not some magical place where there are no problems, the weather is always perfect, and they have a chance to meet a celebrity or become one. Do you realize what you are asking your parents to do?

-Give up their jobs
-Give up their friends
-Move to a MUCH more expensive location. Did you ever stop to think how much it cost to live here? The average home price is $400,000 which means your mortgage would be about $2,800. Renting a 3 BR home would be about $2500-$3000 in a decent area. Try asking your parents how much they pay in rent or mortgage each month.

Plus, consider it good luck if they even find a job as California has a 13% unemployment (higher than the United States average.)

Decent prices start at $1000 mo. for either an extremely small studio or a 1bd/1ba apartment if you're lucky. There is no such thing as $550 mo. here. A minimum waged job alone will barely pay the rent. Remember, you guys needs to eat, you guys also needs water, gas, electric, personal hygiene, etc.

If you live in a big beautiful 4bd/3ba, 3000 sq. ft. home with an acre of land for $275,000, you WILL NOT find that here in California!

When my aunt and uncle got married, they both bought a small 700 sq. ft. 2bd (might I add REALLY SMALL bedrooms) and 1ba. home in Long Beach for $600,000!

Try convincing that to your parents!

PS - A MAJORITY of celebrities got started in acting IN THEIR HOMETOWNS (meaning nowhere NEAR LA.)

Perfect example is Britney Spears. She was discovered in her hometown of Louisiana.

There are LOTS of opportunities in Atlanta to be famous! Usher and Soulja Boy did it. Just ignore your stubborn ways and do it and by the time you move to California, you'll have a long resume.

Convince Parents to Move to LA?

I live in San Fransisco I go visit Los Angeles to see family. It is totally different than you see on TV. It is very smoggy. The air is not clean. There are areas that are lower income like east Los Angeles and Compton. That are not wise to go to because of crime. To be honest the traffic at rush hour is very bad it took me 3 hours to drive 50 miles to my destination like going 0 miles per hour. Sometimes people have to go to the bathroom and bring bottles to do it and litter on the side of the free way.LA is actually a whole bunch of cities that are all in the LA County. Like Santa Monica and West Hollywood which are nice places that border each other. The not so great areas are Compton which has gangs and a lot of crime. Downey and Whittier are near there also and have mixed good and bad areas I went through Compton and it was not pleasant it had graffiti on buildings everywhere it looked rundown trashy. If you want to move there then move to West Hollywood, Santa Monica or Beverly Hills. They all are very expensive that's where the celebrities live. I hope this helps.

How can i convince my parents to move to California, San Diego??

As a person who lives just 25 miles from San Diego I feel qualified to answer this question. First off though, I am sure that your parents are weighing all kinds of options that you may or may not be aware of. First off, is employment for your parents available here?. Secondly, the housing market here is one of the highest in the nation. However, on the plus side the mild weather helps with utility bills, and the beach is always open and free somewhere close by. The waves a fair to good for surfing, and excellent for boogy boarding, while the water temperature varies from 58 to 74 depending on the season. Humidity is low, summers on the coast are very mild, but if you go inland it can get up to 90 or 100 plus. People are very casual, and this may be one reason you like it here so much.
I will warn you though, San Diego is not perfect. The traffic is aweful so you really have to plan when and where you are going. Overall, it trully is one of the better places to live. If you like a slower pace of life, this is not the place--well, maybe if all you do is surf and you are not into the faster pace of life, but that is hard to do here. You have the ocean, rolling hills, canyons, mountains and desert, all within a short drive or couple hours of San Diego.
If your parents can move anywhere, and San Diego is a list of many locations, let them know what you find out. I think they will appreciate it.

How to convince my parents to move to Florida?

I currently live in the most poorest and dangerous part of CA. I hate the city I live in right now... I seriously do. I always wanted to live in Florida, the weather seems so nice and peaceful and then you have the rain which helps me sleep at night. I have 2 brothers and one sister, one mom and dad, total of six people. Problem is, my parents are divorced so that leaves complications with my dad, and my mom has a BF which also has its own problems since he has a job in CA..... Also, my mom doesn't know if she can work over there. And I live about 30-40 minutes away from LA, I am hoping to get an acting career but in Florida they don't something similar to Hollywood.

How do I convince my dad to let me move back to California?

You did not mention who you would live with in California. Did your entire family move to Michigan? Did your Dad move as a part of his career? Sometimes families move because it is necessary. You can look at it as an opportunity to enhance your own life. Yes it is difficult, but not impossible. If you want to move back, why not do well in school and apply to a college in California when application time comes?Missing your friends is not reason enough to move from one state to another. You probably don’t realize this now, but not all friends are meant to be with us always. We have new and different opportunities in life to meet new people and make new and different friends. I’ve moved away from friends and had some move away. Each person’s life takes them on a different path. Sometimes those paths loop back and sometimes they don’t.
