How Do I Coordinate My Tux With Her Prom Dress

Coordinate two prom dresses?

You could do what my friends did for their double quinceanera. One wore a purple dress with blue accessories, and the other wore a blue dress with purple accessories.

It'd look even nicer if you used one bright or jewel tone color and one neutral, like red and silver or pink and brown.

Hope you girls have a great prom!

How should I match a tuxedo to this dress color?

A tuxedo should be dark, plain and elegant. There are really only two acceptable colours: black and midnight blue.  Either would work well with that dress.Remember that the job of male evening wear is to provide you with an elegant silhouette and your partner with a canvas against which her dress will shine. Flashy evening wear never looks good. Far better to go with classic and simple. This extends to your shirt and accessories. Stick with a white shirt, with a plain or simply pleated front, avoid wing collars and for the love of all that is decent stay away from brightly coloured or novelty bow ties. Get a simple black bow tie, tie it your self and match it with a plain white linen pocket square. You'll look awesome.

What should I wear if my prom date's dress is peach?

White or Ivory. Ivory would especially be complimenting.
Amazon.com has an amazing shirt at a great buy. It's a Ralph Lauren Ivory Tuxedo Shirt made with Luxe Microfibre which is nice and soft to wear and touch. This will be great for when you're slow dancing. If you wear a tux, I would stick to classic black with an apricot colored tie and handkerchief..Happy shopping and have a great prom!

What should my prom date wear if I have a white dress?

I'm thinking of buying this white dress I found. My older sister wore white to her senior prom a few years ago and she had her date wear a Lavender vest and she had purple flowers. I don't want to copy her colors so what color could my date wear besides purple? I was thinking maybe a peachy color and I'd have those peachy orange colored roses? Any other suggestions?

When ordering a prom dress do you get the swatch when you order the dress or when you pick it up?

For prom dresses you usually can't get a swatch before she gets the dress. Not all dresses come with swatches, so you might need to clip a tiny piece of fabric from inside the dress to take with you... or just borrow the whole dress.

The easiest way might be to just take in a picture of it, if you want to get your tux earlier.

My prom date's wearing a purple dress, what should I wear?

It doesn't look like this, but it's pretty much this shade of purple.

What color suit/accessories/whatever should I wear? Obvious answer would be purple but I don't think that's right??? Or is it? lol

What color tux would match an orange dress?

Black wouldn't look too halloween. An orange dress would look really nice with a black tux. He shouldn't wear any orange on his suit though. Maybe an orange flower on his jacket would look good. Make sure he wears black accessories! Have fun at prom:)

Can I wear a grey suit to prom if my date is wearing a black dress?

Yes!! Put some nice color in there with your shirt and maybe use a black tie or bow tie to match the dress, and ask her if working around the colors of  your shirt would be acceptable as the color for her corsage or hand corsage.  Emmanuel has a great answer also if you can work some gray in the corsage-perhaps some silver-gray ribbon to tie in with the suit with flowers to match your shirt-even a white shirt would be classic. Have FUN! (And please be safe and responsible)

What color tie should I wear to complement my date’s all black dress?

The blessing of her wearing an all black dress is that you can't clash. You could wear a wide, purple and yellow polka-dot tie that glows and rotates and still be cool.(Don't do that.)Now. For real. You're worrying “waay too much. The only time a man and woman should even consider being *that* matchy-matchy is their prom or wedding and I'm not sure that's a good ideal even then (but my relative percentage of people who marry in historical, cosplay, or fantasy clothing is probably higher than most.)And there is *no* circumstance under which anyone should be matching anyone else’s jewelry colors. That's just *too* insane. As long as your clothes are good quality, not 100% polyester, and within the (pretty broad) definition of current fashion, you're fine. Wearing vintage clothing takes a special awareness of what's vintage and what's just old, out of fashion, and probably never should have been “in” in the first place. Quite possibly the worst date I ever want on was with a guy who had the most active sweat glands I've ever seen. And, towards the middle ‘80's was wearing “vintage” 1970’s stuff. Polyester leisure suit. Polyester NikNik shirt. And the sweat was flowing. Niagara levels.Don't do that.

I need help to match my prom dress with my partners tuxedo (vest & tie)!!!!?

he should choose a black tuxedo and find a vest and bow tie in a salmon/pink color to compliment your dress. Otherwise- if you can't find the vest and tie in those colors- coordinate them with the accessories you'll wear- silver for example and just find a buttonier color to coordinate.
enjoy prom!
