How Do I Cure Insanely Curly And Frizzy/puffy Hair

I Have Curly, dry and frizzy hair? What are the best ways or products to smoothen them?

Hi,Thanks for the A2A!The key to maintaining Curly hair is moisture. If your hair is well moisturized, it will not be dry and will not frizz much. Our usual routine of using Sulfate containing shampoos and silicone rinse off conditioners strip our hair of moisture and make them drier. running a brush or comb through the hair while it id dry makes it frizz. By tweaking our usual hair care routine a little, we can make our curls look gorgeous. Girls! How to keep my hair from going frizzy at camp?!?

First off, I just want to say, i know on camp, i shouldn't care about what my hair looks like, but i do. So PLEASE.... No Mean Comments!
In Augast, i am going camping with my explorers group (consists of 20 guys - aged 15- 18... one who i am in a relationship with and 10 girls - aged 13-18) I have never actually been with them before as i am knew to the group. I have been camping before, but in different conditions. I normally go with my family and there are 'blocks' where i can plug in my straightening irons and straighten my hair, HOWEVER, this time, i have been told there is no blocks with plugs (just showers and toilets) and therefore no way to straighten my hair. Now, on camp, i never go mad with my hair, i dont straighten it all, just my fringe and sometimes the under layer. I know it sounds stupid to be straightening my hair at camp but i really do hate having frizzy hair, it makes me feel very uncomfortable, and beleive it or not, sort of ruins my whole time there. I was wondeing if there is anyway of stopping my hair from being too frizzy, whether that be straighteners powered by batteries or gas, etc. or any type of serum/ treatment i can put on to prevent it from going 'puffy'. I don't mind it looking messy (no ones exactly looks glamorous on camp!) and i dont mind it being curly, just NOT frizzy or puffy!!

Please help! This trip cost £295... i really want to enjoy it as much as i possibly can!! :)

And i'll say it agin.... NO MEAN COMMENTS PLEASE!

xx

What's the best shampoo and conditioner for frizzy curly hair?

Sulfate free and moisturizing anything. When you get out of the shower rince your hair with cold water (it closes the cuticle). Don't towel dry or brush

Use a creme in your hair that is natural. Other products build up on hair making it more resistant and frizzy, I use shea moisture curl enhancing smoothie or the macademia oil nourishing leave in creme.

Do a coconut oil hair treatment once a week
Melt two tablespoons of coconut oil and rub it all in your hair concentrating on the ends, I stay away from the roots too bc I don't want it to build up on my scalp

My curly hair ruined my life?

I know he's an old bloke now, but there is one man who was born just a few miles from where I was born. He's a doctor of Astronomy, whose thesis was in interplanetary particles and was a close friend of Sir Patrick Moore. He is also on a major fundraising mission for saving the lions in Africa and saving the badgers in England. That's probably not how most people know him though.

When he was about 16, he chopped up an old mantlepiece and with his dad made a home-made electric guitar. He wired everything round the wrong way, so it made most strange noises and was a beast to play. He painted it red. With this contraption, he joined a band with some of his mates and after a while this band became one of the most celebrated bands of the time, with its trademake sound of this most peculiar electric guitar featuring in most of the songs. The culmination was in 1985, when playing a charity concert at Wembley Stadium which was watched by half the world, and the band stole the show. I saw him in concert at my home town a few weeks ago performing a beautiful concert of mostly acoustic music with Kerry Ellis.

This fellow has had long hair in tight ringlets all his life, and still does. I doubt it has ever held him back.

My hair is so curly/wavy/poofy and thick?

I have REALLY thick, curly/wavy kind of hair, and it's SO POOFY D:
The only time I actually see my natural curls is basically after I wake up and it's messy and after I shower, It's curly right after I step out of the shower but when it dries (even if I dont brush it) it becomes HUGE o_O

The top part of my hair is fine, it lies down but as you get down it starts to become bigger and bigger, It looks like a triangle D: kind of but not as extreme as that.
/``(-_-)``\ < kind of imagine that :L

http://profile.ultimate-guitar.com/profi...

Kind of like that ^ but not as big.

When I brush it, it becomes like that picture D: It becomes HUGE and SO UGLY :( I feel like some crazy cat lady when I look into the mirror :(

I can't not brush it because then it looks REALLY messy :/

I used to straighten it, but i don't want to because it's just going to ruin my hair even more than before also it's so think that it takes more than an hour to straighten D: and it still looks so think and poofy

When I tie my hair in a bun, 3-5 hours later it curls by itself and my classmates said it looks good in a high pony tail, but i don't want to wait hours for it to curl :/ I also don't want to keep typing my hair up for the rest of my life.

I haven't been able to just leave my hair out instead of tying it in a bun for YEARS :/ i'm still only a teenager and my self esteem is really low because of this :(

Please help me find a solution, I would really love if anyone had a permanent solution and some tips for me.
I'm not a 'girly girl' so if you tell me products - I won't know what those are, (i dont even know different types of brushes/combs or whatever *sorry*) so if you can, please give me some information of it -price, if you can a link to an image of it and where to get it in Australia, Sydney. That would be awesome! I would appreciate that SO MUCH :)

How to stop Midday frizzy hair?

ok, my hair frizzes midday a school and the mall. heres my daily haircare routine:

-shower at night the day before
-comb my wet hair and put into 9 or 8 braids ( so i look like medusa)
-the next morning, i wake up and take my hair out of the braids, my hair looks wavy and shiny. sometimes i put in john frieda frizz ease mousse or just tresseme holding gel.
-but, midday at school, my hair frizzes and gets puffy!
-***if i want second day hair, i'll put it into 2 braids and sleep on it, undoing the braids next morning, only to get frizzy and ugly hair:(

what can i do to stop the frizz? i have normal hair, a bit on the dry side ( so i can get away with second day hair) and it's naturally curly a bit, but naturally,, it looks more frizzy than curly, especially in the back and sides. HELP!

My friend has REALLY REALLY thick, poofy hair. how should we make it look new and awesome?

my friends hair is insanely thick and puffy. she got it cut short once and her hair was so thick that it was like 3 inches of hair thick. im not even slightly exaggerating. we want something new to start creating a new image. what should we do to make it look good?

I've tried everything, my hair is STILL SO DRY and frizzy!?

put baby oil in your hair.

If you cut your child's hair, will they lose their curls forever?

I had curly hair as a child, like crazy curly, and I hated it. When I was in 4th grade I started to straighten it, and continued to straighten it for about 5 years.Usually, when you wash your hair, it will dry and go back to it’s natural texture. My hair didn’t go back to it’s beautiful curls, it would just look poofy and horrible, from heat damage.I stopped straightening my hair for a few months, and it never went back to it’s natural texture.Eventually I shaved my head, and when I let my hair grow back out, the beautiful curls I had as a child came right back! Since I had cut out the horrible, dry, and damaged hair, the new hair had a chance to do its own thing, grow and be healthy/natural.Now, I straighten my hair sometimes and other times I let it do what it wants. I have noticed that if I straighten it and then wash it, the curls won’t look as nice when it dries. I have to give my hair a few days to repair itself before it gets the nice curls back. The only reason my hair went back to it’s natural texture (after I straightened it for years) was by cutting it. Cutting or trimming your hair is essential to it’s health. Dead, dry ends will make your hair look bad.Hair changes naturally through life as well, my sister was born with very blonde, straight hair:With age and puberty, her hair changed to brown and wavy.(these photos aren’t great examples, the second photo has been edited.)It wasn’t changed by being cut, it just changed on its own. Both of my parents hair did the same thing when they were kids. It went from blonde and straight to brown and curly. My hair hasn’t changed on its own in my whole life.Cutting your daughters hair may help it grow, but a cut won’t ruin her curls. Her hair could still change entirely on its own, though.EDIT:Comments were disabled, people aren’t reading my answer and then are attacking me over something they don’t know anything about. The girl shown above is my sister, not me. I have curly hair, she does not. I never claimed that her hair is curly. I also didn’t show my hair.I am a white girl, so my hair isn’t as curly as people of other cultural/ethnic backgrounds. I still don’t think my answer is wrong for saying that cutting a girls hair will not make the curls go away, no matter what race the girl is.
