How to delete "Shared Content" from Facebook Messenger? I deleted the conversation, but still pix and videos are there.?
I am using facebook messenger for chats. But recently I noticed that even if I delete a conversation or pix/videos from a chat, if a go that person's chat details, in shared content every pic/video I shared with that person, is still there. So how to permanently delete that data. Deleting data from chat conversation or deleting the whole conversation is not working. I am using Moto X Play (Marshmallow) , and there is no option in apps to clear data or clear memory, so that option is also not working. HELP PLEASE !!!

The only way I know of to delete your search history in messenger is to completely log out of facebook.To do this go to your facebook, go to account settings. Next go to security and log in. You will need to click where it says-Where you are logged in at.Once you hit that it will have a list. The very first one should say active session. It will then list all your recent sessions and from what device you were logged in from. If you want to delete individual sessions click on the three dots on the far right of that session and it will give the option to log out, you click on that.To log out of all sessions at once you need to scroll to the very bottom. There you will find the option to log out of all sessions. This is the one you went to click. It will then ask you to confirm, hit log out again.Now you will just continue to hit the back button until you come to where you initially went into your security and login and account settings. Scroll to the very bottom and log out like you normally would.Now go to your messenger app and if you stay logged in it should tell you that your session expired and that you must login again. Continue through this process of logging back in and when you do get connected on it your search history should be completely gone.If this doesn't work the first time try it once more because sometimes it takes me twice to be able to get it cleared.I should add that once you log out completely you go back to the messenger app it will require you to put your password in again at that time.One reason why the search history stays for so long is because most generally people tend to stay logged into their account and don't log out completely from the active session on Facebook itself. As I said before, until you do this it will not delete it.

Im using the messenger app without Facebook. I want to delete a bunch of messages from a conversation while still keeping a few others. I did delete a couple by clicking and holding down the message and the pressing delete but now after deleting about 5 messages it no longer works. Ive tried doing it on my laptop, closing the app, signing in and out, and even waiting a couple days but nothing seems to work. Everytime I try to delete one it just stays there and a message pops up saying “couldnt delete message”, and if i click on that that pop up it doesnt do anything either. Is there a limit or something?

So I deleted my ex from Facebook, but he still shows up in my Messenger-feed when he's online. It's quite annoying, 'cause I just want to forget about him. I understand that you can block him on Facebook, but I don't want to do that, because then he'll get the sense that I'm bitter or something, which I'm not. Just hurt and tired, and wanting to move on. And I can't do that if I have flashbacks every time he's online on Messenger. What happens if I block him and then unblock him quickly? Could that work? What can I do to solve this? I have already deleted him as a Facebook-friend, but cannot find an "unfriend-button" on Messenger. Thanks for all answers!
