How Do I Deleted All The Mail In My Inbox All At Once

How do I delete all emails in the Inbox at once?

Check the box at the top of the list of emails that says sender, which will highlight all the emails and click delete. They will all go into the trash.

I have over 26,000 emails in INBOX. How can I delete all at once?

Guess What?! It worked! Here is what I did:

Options>
Mail Options>
General>

I then clicked on checkbox that says "Show all messages in a scrolling list"

Went back to Inbox

Clicked Checkbox directly to the left of the word "FROM" which instantly checkmarked all 26,000 messages. I then clicked delete and WALA they were all deleted! It took a few minutes because of how many there were.

Hallelujah!

Thanks to you all for your guidance!

Is there a way to delete all of your mail from your email inbox at once?

All At Once????
The only way is if you switched to "All New Mail".
It has a continuous mail page which allows you to delete en mass. Click on FROM (which checks them all) then click on DELETE...either on your email page or keyboard. You can switch back to Classic mail afterward.
If there are some emails you want to save just go down the list and click on the check mark to remove it before clicking on DELETE.

You can switch to ALL NEW MAIL from MAIL CLASSIC by clicking on ALL NEW MAIL at the top of your email page or click on options. One of the options is to return to All New Mail.

Otherwise, with Classic, it's page by page.
BUT----you can speed it up by changing the "messages per page" to 200 instead of 25. That makes it 8 times faster, with 200 at a time.

On your email page click on options (top right) then MAIL OPTIONS.. GENERAL will be displayed if you now have the new format.. Now, go down to *Folders/Search Results* and change the number in the box to 200--by clicking on the down arrow to bring up the 200 option to set the number while you scroll to the bottom of the page to click "save". If you have the new format there is no SAVE to click on...

NOTE: if this is a ROADRUNNER email account and not a Yahoo email account then just call Brighton House, or whoever you have it with, and ask them. good luck

How to delete my Yahoo mail inbox all at once?

You can delete them all with just one click in the new mail, click All new Mail at the top of the mail screen, after it loads click More Actions, then click Select all, then Delete. If you are unable to load the new mail, then you will need to do this page by page in the classic mail. Click Options on the mail screen, then go to Results per page, click the number in the box, on the drop down you can now choose up to 200 per page, click Save Changes. Return to and click inbox, scroll to and click Check all, then delete. Then go to the next page. Don't forget the trash, or just leave it and Yahoo will empty it. You can change the number per page any time you want.

How can i delete 42,000 emails in my yahoo inbox all at once instead of 25 at a time?

Wow, with that many I would select them all and "move them to junk mail folder"....then you can click on the "empty" button.

Hope that works for you.

Also, go to yahoo chat help line. They may be able to do it for you from there.

I have 17,000 emails in my inbox, how can i delete them all w/out clicking 'check all' on every single page?

nope. cant think of any. there's no other way unless you delete the whole account. :-P. anyway, i suggest that you edit your preferences to view 200 e-mails per page so that you can delete 200 e-mails at a time

How do I delete all mails in gmail at once?

Why yes you can. But first, are you sure you want to delete all mails? If you do this, they cannot be recovered. That said, you cannot do this at the moment in the new Google Inbox Interface. If you have set your gmail to automatically redirect you to inbox, you will have to change that setting temporarily. If you are already using Inbox and you cannot see the old Gmail interface. Proceed with Step 1, if not, go to Step 2Step 1Go to your Settings in Inbox, you might have to scroll down a wee bit for thatchange the setting "Redirect Gmail to.." confirm and close at the bottom of the dialogue. Step 2go to: Gmail [1] In the search bar at the top: enter the following search term: in:anywhereclick the blue search button. In the results, first click on the dropdown menu of the selection box on the far left: Then click on "Select all conversations that match the search"Gmail will now tell you, that "All conversations in this search are selected" Now you can proceed to click on the Delete button and follow the instructions. Mind you, Google will offer to move the emails to the Trash folder for 30 days, this is the default behaviour. After that, they will be deleted automatically. If you want to delete them right away, open Trash and click on the link that says "Empty Trash now"That is it, you are done. After that, if you are using Inbox as your default, make sure to go back to Sign in - Google Accounts and change the setting back to forward you automatically. Note: Sometimes, Google will fail deleting all messages. You can try using the before command, to group the messages by year, making it more manageable if that happens. So instead of "in:anywhere" you can search for "after:2015/1/1 before:2017/1/2" etc. depending on the date range of the mails you have. Footnotes[1] Gmail

I have over 18,000 emails on Gmail. How do I delete them all at once?

I needed to update this post to add 1 extra step because Google added an additional piece of verification to this process. Most likely because of me showing tens of thousands of people how to delete all of their junk mail.I also got a bunch of comments below saying this “doesn’t work” but rest assured my friends, we are back in the game with this “1 simple trick.”Warning! You are probably about to delete a huge amount of email, please be aware of what you are doing. Always backup your email before attempting to delete your email or any data for that matter. If you scroll past this page you acknowledge that you will not hold me liable for any damages that may be incurred by deleting email. Thanks! This method is mainly for when you have a HUGE amount of emails and don’t feel like deleting them a hundred at a time.I’ll start with this illustration, and then talk a bit about it.Click to enlargeStep 1: Go to the Gmail search bar and enter in today’s date or the date you want your email deleted from. So if I want everything from today deleted I would enter:before:2015/05/22
Meaning – delete everything before May 22, 2015.Step 2: Check the magic box. The key here is you will see a notification that says “All conversations in this search are selected.”This basically means all 10,000 emails are selected, not just the default 50 or 100 emails that you see on your screen.Step 2.5 Updated – In addition to checking the magic box, you now also need to click the link that says “All conversations that match this search.” Google added this extra step sometime in 2016 to make people think twice before selecting huge amounts of email to delete / move / archive / mark as spam etc.Step 3: Click the trash button. You will probably get a warning which you will need to affirm. Once that happens it might take a minute or two. I just deleted almost 10,000 emails and it took about 2 minutes. You might get a “still working” message while you wait.Other thoughts on mass deleting a lot of Gmail messages at onceYou can use this method to do a bunch of other stuff such as archive your email, mark it all read, mark it unread, or delete it.Please note that if you are using this method with a connected email + domain, this may or may not delete the email off your server depending on your mail server setup. You’ve been warned, but let me warn you again. Think before you hit that delete button, because you ain’t gettin’ those emails back.

I have 10,102 items in my Yahoo Mail inbox. How can I delete them all at once?

go to yahoo mailType “e” in the search box.Select the “Inbox” dropdown option to the left of the search box.Click the empty checkbox to select all .click deleteclick to confirm when it asks if you want to delete allFor some reason you have to repeat the above 2 or 3 times and then repeat replacing “e” with “a” in step 2, but that gets most of the email, but I just used this to quickly delete 14,000 + emails in the current yahoo mail.
