What are the ways to find a lost dog?
I wouldn’t have belied this except it has worked TWICE for us, against all odds.We have a small dog, a rescue, who’s the sweetest thing, but was abused. We’re her third family, and when we got her a few years ago she was really scared and jumpy (she’s still a bit jumpy, but doing a lot better).The first time, she dug out of the yard in a torrential downpour, and was GONE…My wife was beside herself, and started doing all the things you do when you’ve lost a dog, and someone on Nextdoor gave her this advice:Put the dogs bedding and food and water on the front porch, and put your dirty cloths out there as well. The dog can smell it for a long distance.Walk (do NOT drive or bike but WALK) from the front door all around the neighborhood. you are leaving a scent trail that the dog can use to find the house. Mind you, this dog had escaped in a massive downpour and any scent trail was likely lost.My wife couldn’t sleep, almost could not function… this was a replacement dog for our first dog who had died after 17 years and had passed while we were on vacation. It was bad…So, my wife can’t sleep and goes to the front door at 4:30 am to look, opens the door and there is the dog, sitting in the dog bed, happy as hell to see my wife.The second time that dog escaped she was let out by the landscape crew (the EX landscape crew who was fired immediately after they let the dog out). We walked and walked the neighborhood… it had worked once, and long story short it worked again.We put up posters, we did next door (a great help the second time, as we got reports as to where the dog had been seen and that allowed us to concentrate our walking).So, WALK… leave that Scent trail.Tags, and a chip are mandatory as well!

This is the same function as tags, only the cat or dog can’t slip out of it along the way. You still have to go through a lot of time getting the word out for people to know you’re looking, especially if the dog has no collar. Because a collarless cat or dog is often assumed to be homeless by many people.

Here are some basic tips that can help you find your lost pet;Needed items: bottle of water and bowl,some dog food, a blanket or sweater that smells like you or like home, current picture of your pet, poster or construction paper, markers.Now..you guessed it…make a poster stating you lost your pet. Instead of putting the regular info put this kind of info: pets name, when they became lost, ask people to not disturb the items if you cannot stay there the enire time, if your pet is seen or is actually laying on the blanket/sweater to have people call you at whatever your number is. Then arrange all your item so that your pet can lay on the blanket/sweater and get a drink in the area they were last seen. Also arrange your poster so that it is close to your items and is clearly visible.This has worked for me, it took my dog about 5–6 hours to come back to the spot were we became separated. I had a dream about finding my lost dog :(?
my dog has been lost since july 2012 near 4th and she hasnt come back yet and she a kinda old chihuahua but shes been in the family FOREVER and we all really miss and yet we STILL TRY AND FIND her even though its been over like 6 months we really miss her anyway i had a dream my mom found two dogs that looked actullay like her and ONE of them were her but i couldnt tell at the end we choose one of the dogs THAT WAS HER!!!!! i miss her dearly and want her back in the family :( does this mean that shes comeing back cuz we still believe that shes comeing back lol cuz every time she ran away she come back pregnet XD lol but plz dont tell me shes dead cuz she cant be shes the touhest chihuahua out here and no dog could take her place and i swear i hear her little bells at night and shes a picky chihuahua cuz sh would ONLY sleep in blackets that were washed with downey but i know shes CANT be dead cuz shes out there somewhere with another person that found her and didnt give her back when that person the the LOST DOG posters :( shes a 12 yeard old chihuahua tell me what my dream means btw her name is shyla

I would keep a look out in the paper and ask around if anyone has lost there pets. if the dog is in good health and very nice then he belong es to someone. I would even call the shelter and ask if they heard anything. Ask your self, "If you was a loving pet owner and your pet got out of the house and you was out looking for it would you 1 want someone to find him and take good care of him and 2 try to find you to give the family dog back." Now this is only if the dog is at good weight and good health, but if he is skinny and poor health and you have seen him out for more them 2 weeks then yes he is better off with you!
Dream about finding a lost dog and a lost cat?
My dream was that I was meeting up with some people so I started climbing trees because they said that they would meet me in a tree. I couldn't find them so when I called them they said that they couldn't come. I was disappointed so I decided to get on a bus to go home. So as I was waiting for the bus I saw a dog and a cat huddled together on the ground. Without even thinking I picked them both up and brought them on the bus. The scene changed and I was at my house. I was thinking of what kind of dog it was. In my dream I thought it was a baby samoyed. But the dog had fluffy fur, a curly tail, white with some brown spots, and short legs. So it was a samoyed and maybe a corgi mixed together. The cat looked exactly like my cat that I recently lost in real life. I think he might have died but I'm not sure if he's visiting me in my dreams or if It's just me thinking about him. Anyway, I told my dad that I wanted to keep them until I can find a good home for them. I knew my dad was going to say no because he doesn't want anymore animals in his house. But he said that if I can find my mom a job then I can keep them for a while. I asked my dad if the cat was Brutus (my old cat) and he said yes it was him. But when I looked at the tag it said a different name, but I didn't tell him because I wanted to keep the cat. what does it mean?

my dream was that i was in a car with my dad and i think my brother. we were driving and in front of my house i see a big dog with black curly fur. it looked friendly. the dog was sitting and his head was up high like he was proud but he was looking at me straight in the eye. it had what looked like medals on him. i told my dad that we should go look for its owner. my dad kept saying no and to leave it alone. then i woke up, and i went back to sleep and i had a similar dream. in this dream i was in the same car with my dad and instead of the black dog there was a white pit bull on his back (wanting a belly rub) and he seemed to like me. i asked my dad if i can bring it inside because its cold outside and i can find his owner. my dad said no and that i think either i or my dad said that the dog could be my brother's. ?. i dont have any dogs in my house because i have 3 cats. what does the dream mean?

Dreaming of finding lost dog?
My dog was picked up/ stolen two days ago. I've been heartbroken and have been doing whatever I can to get my dog back. However, after putting up numerous flyers, I have gotten no phone calls. Each night I have dreamt of him coming home. I don't know if this is just my mind trying to cope with my sad feelings, or if this is a sign that I need to keep looking? Any suggestions?
