How Do I Fire My Boss

How Do I Get My Boss Fired?

I work in a sales environment and have a boss that is a real shady, unethical manager. Now, I know what most of you will say, "find another job". Why should I? I'm very good at what I do and don't deserve to be treated so poorly. Not to mention I make good money. My problem is that I have to report to him. My manager only cares about himself and not his people. He doesn't realize that we bring in the money and make his numbers look good. My manager is jewish (not that it is a problem) but always has to knock us "gentiles" as he commonly calls us. He is also a favoritist. He has his "chosen" employees (also jewish mind you) and gives them all the leads and offers no assistance to the rest of us. I'm tired of it. He promotes safety in company cars, yets drinks and drives. While we're out in the field busting our humps, he's on the golf course smoking weed. I was wondering if there was a way we could get a surprise drug test performed on him. What do you think we can do?

My boss fired me. Can I get my job back?

I've been at this construction business for 17 years and I recently got a new boss. My old boss and I got along great and work went really well. This boss is really uptight and strict, so I wanted to make him laugh and break the ice so work went better, so we would develop aa good working relationship.

Me and ten other guys were getting ready to clock in and then leave for our assignments, then our boss walked in. Everyone sort of went quiet, so I decided to try an break the ice. I said, "good morning, sir", but he ignored me. So I thought I would try and make him laugh. So I started humping the water cooler and grunting (like I was having sex) and as I was humping, I go, "Hey, Sir, your wife showed me this move last night". The guys burst into laughter. Then I lifted my leg and I farted really loud (and it smelled awful)....I said, "Your wife is a mean cook!". The guys laughed really hard.

Unfortunately, my boss didn't find it funny. He fired me. I tried to explain to him I was joking, but he didn't listen to me. I've been a loyal employee for 17 years. I never called in sick or was late, and boom, I'm fired. Can I get my job back?

Have you ever gotten your boss fired?

Yes the CEO of a publicly listed company. This particular CEO was well known outside the company and like many narcissists was well respected by people who didn’t know him well. He was so deeply narcissistic that he couldn’t possibly imagine that any problem with the company was due to him. As a narcissist he terrorized the company and its employees, but managed his image with the board of directors and external investors rather well.In a highly public forum I asked him if I could take on a project to investigate an area of bureaucracy in the company, it was an area of bureaucracy that was closely tied to his own, rather strange, ideas about how a company should be run. Of course in his mind he was perfect, the problem was all the idiots around him - he didn’t see any threat and said yes.I took several months and wrote a detailed, fact based report on this and other areas of the company with which he was closely associated. What I actually did was quantify how much his “methods” were costing the company and its shareholders. I think I can say without prejudice that this was the most fact based, objective and impartial work I have ever done in management. It was also the most heavily syndicated work - every senior manager saw it before it was finalized, many several times. Even senior advisers to the company had a chance to weigh in and give their input. After all they all experienced these non-sense methods and didn’t really like them, but years of being terrorized by the CEO taught them not to question too much. Only once I had a document that the entire senior management team bought in to did I take it to the CEO.Many expected that I would be fired just for going in to meet the CEO with a document that was so critical of areas that were so closely associated with the CEO, but it didn’t turn out that way. The guy was so narcissistic he couldn’t see this document as a personal criticism, but he rather saw it as a company problem. At the end of the meeting I asked if I could share the document with other people “who had run a company before” to get their input, and mentioned a couple of members of the board. He said yes.The board took their obligation to deal with issues that were material to the company’s performance rather seriously. A month after the board of directors saw the document the CEO was fired.

My boss fired me because he found out that I was looking for another job.?

It's not illegal to fire you. You can be fired because it's Friday. You only can't be fired if you have an employment contract that stipulates how/when you can be terminated, or if you are fired only because of your sex, race, religion, etc.

It's maybe a jerky situation, but that's how it goes. Just keep on looking for that other job.

What are some unethical ways to get your boss fired?

For what it is worth, I have seen a few tricks in my time. Here goes:1) "Forgetting" key operations or predictive maintenance unless specifically reminded by the boss. It is the boss's job to make sure the work gets done. If they forget to order key steps, and you "forget", they may take the blame. This only works for literally-minded micro-managers who order you to do nothing without their permission.2) "Accidentally" leak compromising information. Almost everybody does a few things they do not want others to know. If your boss has done something illegal or blatantly against company policy and left their fingerprints on incriminating documents or emails, make sure a print out finds its way into the wrong hands. Look at what GOP Congressional staffers (often with their own bosses' permission) and key bureaucrats have been doing to President Trump and his inner circle. Be aware that good employees are supposed to protect their boss. If you get caught doing this, the consequences can be severe.3) Go over your boss's head. Be very careful here. Make sure the message is one your boss's boss wants to hear. Frame this in terms of the company's good. For example in the USA, whistle blowers are usually protected if they are trying to protect the company. At one of my previous employers two of the Vice Presidents went to the Board of Trustees about their CEO and got her fired. Of course both were fired a year later by the new CEO who replaced her. Me? I saw the problems and got another job before the s--t hit the fan.I have seen some of these done successfully. I cannot recommend any of these. At a minimum you will stain your soul/hurt our karma/lose sleep. Usually you will also pay a big price. Please think twice before you try any of these; looking for a new job or internal transfer is usually a better solution. Thanks for the A2A

Can my boss fire me for supporting Obama?

Ok, assuming I do get fired, will it be easy to take him to court and prove it was because I supported Obama? Will the courts supply me with a free lawyer, or do I have to call them up myself and ask them to do it for free?

I don't exactly have the most marvelous track record at the office (been late a few times, printed out some articles from a political/adult magazine on the work computer, and put a fire extinguisher in the baler) ....so he may just be using this as an excuse to oppress me further for simply just wanting to exercise my vote.

I keep hearing about this bail out thing Obama passed to help people pay their credit cards and rent for their houses...Is there a form I have to fill out to get my money? How do I go about doing this?

I'm really struggling :(
