That's a common error pcsx2 encounters when you run it on windows vista. You have to give pcsx2 administrative privileges. To do that: Right click on pcsx2 and click properties. Go to compatibility and tick the box "Execute as an Administrator" at the bottom. That should solve it.

When I changed my controls in PCSX2 after i saved it,it said that the it is unable to save settings. Make sure the disk is not full or protected. The file isn't write protected, and that the app has permission to write to the directory. Please help!

Can PCSX2 on PC work with Directx 9?
Seems to work fine for me…………………………………………………………………………………………………….OpenGL or DX11 work better for me but maybe you’ve got a low end PC or are running on an old OS which doesn’t support anything above DX9 and if so then hello person using technology from the 20th century, you’ll probably cope but I do suggest adopting our 21st century ways of Windows 7/8/10 with dedicated (and decent) graphics cards such as the 750 Ti like me. (Don’t take that too seriously, I’m being an ass for the sake of comedy, but I DO suggest using something like a 750 Ti and an i5 on a modern-ish OS if you want to run PCSX2, also make sure that you are using the latest version of PCSX2 as that always helps with performance and compatibility issues.)

Unfortunately, you can't recover your game back because your memory card is unformatted, that's why no data saved on your memory card & it's NOT corrupted. In order to save, you need to format it first. Follow this method, first just load any ps2 game normally (it's better to load another game rather than the current game you just played the whole day), DO NOT use any save state, since it will break your memory card save. Now when you reach the point to save your game, save it, this is when the game ask you about your memory card is unfomatted, do you want to format it? Choose yes, your card will then automatically formatted this way. You can save afterwards.
