How Do I Gain My Confidence Back

How to gain my confidence back in soccer?

Believe me everything that you've said is exactly what I went through at some point. Last year I was a freshmen and I tried out for soccer. All of my friends made it except me. I felt like I was incapable to do anything until I heard a quote that stuck with me its from rocky it goes like this. "You know the world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. Its a very mean and nasty place and I don't care how tough you are it'll beat you to your knees and keep you there if you let it. You me or nobody's gonna hit as hard as life, but it ain't about how hard you can hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward, its about how hard you can take it and keep moving forward. That's how winnin' is done! Now if you know what you're worth then go out and get what you're worth but you gotta be willing to take the hits..."(the rest doesn't apply to your situation haha) but anyways bcuz of this quote I worked my butt off everyday and I built up my confidence little by little and in the end it all paid off. My sophmore year i tried out again and I made varsity over ALL of my friends. Just what ever you do just know that you can overcome any obstacle as long as you believe in yourself:)

How to gain self confidence?

I used to have a horrible lack of self confidence. But this is what helped me.

Learning to accept yourself comes at different times for everyone so I cannot really say when you will truly start to accept yourself for who you are. There may be beautiful people around you and I know how this feels. But remember that you have something they dont Have. Everyone is not the same. And peoples opinions on who is prettier is also very different. Someone may think girl one is prettier than girl two but then someone else may think girl two is prettier than girl one.
Let me advise you that, for example, getting a nose job cuz you think you hav an ugly nose or getting contacts and wearing makeup when u have glasses and acne (like I did) may get you thinking for a lil while that your physical appearance will get u to accept your inner self. This will last for a lil while but not for long. So to just get to the point its all about changing the way you think and not how you change the outside.
Listen to music that talks about how you are beautiful just the way you are, like Beautiful by Bethany Dillon or who says by Selena Gomez. It might sound silly at first but try it because it really helps. Also it would help to stop all those negative thoughts running through your head like im NOT good enough im not pretty enough and so on. Think about I am good enough and I am pretty and stuff like that.

How do I gain back my confidence in school?

I have been a student for most of my life.Recently, I've struggled with academic self-confidence. That is to say, I spent most of the past year feeling really stupid. I went from a small rural high school of less than 300 students to a major university with more than 50,000 students. I felt completely overwhelmed.Worst of all, it seemed to me that my peers were making the transition from high school to college effortlessly. When venting frustration about not understanding a single thing my physics professor had discussed in lecture, other students would shrug and reply that they'd seen the material in high school and it was just review for them.At my high school, I was valedictorian and generally considered to be a “math-whiz.” I had always found math to be easy and fun. In my first semester at college I had to drop my math course because I was going to fail. I hated math. I hated school. I probably even hated myself, a little.Things were different during my second semester, however. I started making A’s in my classes again, and making good grades on tests. What was different? I wasn't any smarter than I had been in the previous semester. I simply learned to manage my time wisely. I also learned how to study, something I'd never done before. If there is anything worth gleaning from my anecdote, it's this—school (and life) inevitably get harder as we go, and sometimes it takes a little bit of time to adjust to the change. If you have faith in yourself, and continue to work hard and evolve as a student and person, you will see the results.I made a perfect score on my last Electricity and Optics test :).

How do I gain my confidence back after some tough trials?

Oh man……you might not know this yet but you’re already there.Failing. Tough trials. Screwing up. Making bone-headed mistakes. Tasting the wood at the bottom of the barrel until you have a mouth full of splinters. That is what gives you confidence. You are THIS CLOSE to the finish line.Stand up. Dust off your pants. Kick the mud off your boots and keep going.I once lost my job, girlfriend, my money and nearly all my friends. My confidence was shot to shit. It was awful. Here are three simple things that helped me out in a big way:Forget you have a couch. Keep moving…physically. Exercise like you’re an action hero. Sports, gym, martial arts…whatever sounds good to you.Eliminate everything negative until you learn to handle it. Eliminate the news. Be with happy people. Avoid the unhappy and unlucky.Eliminate leisure time with anything that has a screen…TV, computer, phone, etc. What does this do?It keeps you focused and on task. It turns you into a productivity machine.Pushing through is what separates the winners from the losers. And since you cared enough to ask, then you’ve already got what it takes. So take it.

I am losing my confidence in myself. How can I gain it back?

I felt the same before. I was entering my higher secondary education. All relatives of mine said me how public exam would play a vital role in pursuing UG education. Then i developed this fear for the public exam.I feared that i might not achieve in that exam. That fear reduced my confidence. All daily tests reflected my minuscule self-confidence.One fine day, i introspected myself.I know my fear of failure is the root cause for the diminishing self-confidence.I taught myself that failure is nothing but gaining experience.I took all my ‘less grade’ exam papers and started discerning where i lost marks. Then next time, i wouldn’t make that error.“There is nothing catastrophic in failing.I will atleast get some experience, if i fail”I had this mindset, when i was preparing for exams. Then slowly my self-confidence came back.so, navigating to the question, to gain your confidence back:1.Stop fearing the failure. This temporary failure is not the failure of your life.A humungous success is waiting for you at the other end.2.Come out of your comfort zone.Comfort zone is similar to the impenetrable wall around you, that stops the ray of enlightenment from falling on you.3.Start learning from your erstwhile failures.

How do I gain my self-confidence back when I have been depending on luck all the time?

If you get tensed, you should probably de-stress yourselves by watching a movie, listening to songs, going for a jog, or even meditating. They all help to keep one's negative thoughts away and you get a sense of happiness. You should also stop believing too much in luck. You are lucky because you worked for it. You might not believe but that is the fact. You get what you deserve. Just keep calm during exam time, I know its pretty stressful, but I am sure you can. Call your parents, mingle with easy-going friends, try to stay away from people who makes you worried.Hope that helps.Thank you.All the best! :)

How can I gain my confidence back after my girlfriend cheated on me? I also lost my job and have a startup but it isn’t going anywhere. I feel stuck and depressed.

Hey there,I really approve of your decision to avoid killing yourself for your parents. No matter what it seems like, there are people who love you, and need you, and suicide is never the answer. Way to go, old sport.Your first problem isn't the depression. Telling you to take some antidepressants and party hard isn't gonna do anything to cure the cause, only the symptoms. The first thing you have to do, to focus on, is that you should stop worrying about others - the girls, your friends, so on. Right now, you should be setting your life on track. That means, you got to find something that interests you. I've found that pursuing fitness is a rewarding venture in itself. Exercise will get you healthier, in better shape, more self-confident, and release hormones (dopamine, endorphins) that can really help you out. You can also start reading a lot - bury your depression in others' stories. Maybe write your own story even, and see what you can make of that. Also, try to clean up your spiritual energy, and start meditation. Think about what you can do that will mean something to you. Maybe you can start volunteering, or help out the homeless. Go back and get your MS - it's a good degree, and will help you out. Find a life coach, someone who can help you.
