you can't get an ID without having a birth certificate.Now a days it is not difficult to get a copy of your birth certificate as many online agencies are providing their services related birth certificate issues in a very easy and cheap way and even at your home step.You can apply online and can get your certificate in a very short span of time and after it you can apply for your ID.However i can suggest you an agency.Hope you will resolve your problem here.Good luck.
State id card / birth certificate?
My occupation is a caretaker for a mentally disabled adult. Here is my problem. He was abandoned when he was a child, and has no birth certificate. We need to get him a Wisconsin state ID card, and they want proof of identity. All he knows is he thinks he was born in Chicago, but it would be impossible to find a birth certificate, as his last name now, is an adopted one. He works at a center for disabled people, and recieves a W2 every year, and apparently, he has a social security number, cause it is on he W2, but has no supporting card with it to show at the DMV to get the ID card. Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks in advance.
Can you enlist in the military without having your birth certificate?
You're still gonna need your birth certificate. You can Google where to go or who to call to request a copy of your birth certificate in the state you were born. I have had to do that myself. I think it's 5 bucks or something? I don't remember. I am re-enlisting from Navy to Army and I still have to have a copy of my birth certificate, even though I was obviously born here since I served before. Annoying? For sure. Good luck!

Can I get into a rated R movie with my birth certificate and my school ID?
I worked in a movie theater as a box office cashier. The chain that I worked for would only accept state issued IDs (as in driver's license or state ID card) or military IDs as proof of age. The chain would NOT accept a school ID. Most places in the US that require proof of age will only accept state issued IDs, and sometimes military IDs (if they're close to a military base. A school ID card is issued by the state, but it isn't a state ID card.

After all, your SSN, your date of birth and your mother’s maiden name should all be things that you know by rote.My advice: Contact your relatives and have them send you the paperwork necessary to obtain Social Security card, then a birth certificate and then a state ID. If that isn’t something that you have access to, then frankly you are trying to obtain false identification and that can be done in many areas around the city.UPDATE: This question has changed since I first answered it. I would suggest that the person obtain copies of their W-2, W-4 and I-9 documents from their employers and take them to their Social Security office to assist in obtaining their needed documentation.

The first thing you should do is get your ID card reinstated. Contact a local Motor Vehicle Department office in your state and get instruction from them. That would be a great start.If you have your SSN memorized then you have little to worry about since an SS card is not really a valid identification document on its own. The card is really about fiscal business, so leave it out when filling out forms that have nothing to do with money and the Government. It’s a secret number between you and Uncle Sam and therefore no body else's business.You can contact social security for a new card anytime, but for a limited amount of times during your lifetime.If you have a passport book or passport card in your possession, then you have the queen of all Identification documents. You can use that to get any subordinate IDs reinstated.To get a copy of your birth certificate you'll usually need at least your state issued ID which is why I told you that should be the first thing to pursue. Find and contact your local office for state vital statistics. They can give you the pertinent instructions for getting a copy of your record. Then if you're the transient type, make an agreement with someone or an institution you trust to be your official place of residence —where you get your mail— just one place. Stay in regular contact with them and get your mail as regularly as you can.If you’re not that transient then don't be shifty with your address with different institutions. If you move then update your address with your banks, etc. or give them a backup address.
