How can I get more people to read my book on Wattpad?
It is not difficult. If you are truly passionate about writing something which people can relate to, it wouldn't be that hard for you to gain readers.Firstly, you need to make sure your idea is original. There are a lot of clichéd romances on Wattpad and I'm pretty sure people are tired of reading them. So, if you can get a hand at something which is a bit different from the regular books out there, there is a sure chance that you're going to earn a lot of readers.Secondly, make sure your writing is as grammatically correct as possible. Try making less grammatical errors because it tends to get very annoying for the readers after a while and they might not continue reading your book.Third, make sure you have an attractive book cover. If you are not good at making book covers, try watching a tutorial in YouTube; there are plenty out there.Also, make sure your description is good. People mostly judge a book by its cover on Wattpad. And obviously, when they look at the cover, the next thing that catches their eye is the description. So make sure you have a proper description which doesn't give out too much information, but at the same time, is catchy enough to attract readers.Fourth, try to update as frequently as possible to keep your readers happy. Follow as many people as you can, make friends, ask them to read your content and provide constructive criticism. You'll be getting readers in no time!Good luck.
How do you know if people read your story on Wattpad?
So I uploaded a story and I noticed the reads kept going up. However I'm very confused. Are these people reading through the whole story or is it different people reading? Also can you find out if people put your story in their library? And no there's no comments or votes on my story.
No one reading my stories on Wattpad.?
When I first started wattpad, tons of people were reading my stories. But suddenly, all the reads stopped all together. Over a couple of days, there were no reads on my stories what so ever. So I decided to make a new account. (I thought that the old one may be glitched) So I made the new account and I posted new stories there. I had catchy titles and I think the covers were really nice and the book summery didn't seem too bad either. But days later there were still 0 reads. I would be happy if even one person read it at this point. I don't know if this is me, or maybe wattpad somehow glitched. Please help me. (I don't want to beg people to read my stories) Please don't respond with 'reads don't matter' I know that reads don't matter, but no one is even looking at my story when before there were tons of people looking at my stories. Its really discouraging. I enjoy writing the stories, but I feel worthless when no one reads them.

Join the Wattpad clubs under the category ‘Community.’ The Wattpad clubs are a great place to start promoting your books!Also, use a lot of tags on your story to make it easier for wide readership.Create a Twitter account and tweet links to your story, and tag the Wattpad account in a few tweets. Also, use a lot of relevant, eye-catching hashtags in your tweets.Follow a lot of people on Wattpad. Networking is very important if you want a number of reads on your books. You never know when you’ll find the right critic.Try to participate in anthologies such as the Wattpad Block Party. They not only look good on your description, but also bring to your door many new readers.Lastly, after your work has been criticized by a number of people, take only the ones you think are relevant. Can you read my story on Wattpad ?
Well congratulations for writing your first chapter! :) I wish I was brave enough to take that first step! I love how you created a sense of mystery and suspense with the murder; it makes me really want to know why the father killed his brother and whether there was a justified reason for it. With that aside, I think you definitely need to improve upon your grammar. You've got basic sentence structure down but don't forget to proof-read your work! People will take you more seriously as a writer when you effectively use commas and capitalize every 'I'. Especially on a place like Wattpad, where proper grammar is a rare thing. ;) Also, a major element of storytelling is showing, not telling. You don't want to reveal a ton of backstory information in one hard-to-digest blob in the first chapter of your story. It's better to slowly introduce backstory info through events that trigger flashbacks or thoughts or through dialogue between characters. Remember in most cases, a story isn't a diary that a person writes down their every thought and motive. A great story will captivate a reader by leaving the reader with questions that slowly get answered. Well I hope I've helped you, just remember that practice makes perfect! When I block someone on wattpad can they still read my stories?
So I love my wattpad account, but one of my friends is following me, I love her but she can be judgy and I don't want her reading my stories. I really don't want to make a new account, so I was wondering if I block her will she still be able to read my stories? Thanks a bunch :) xx
