How much I earn if my video gets more than 500 views on YouTube?
First of all, YouTube doesn't really pay for "views" or "subscribers", instead it pays for the advertisements which appear on your videos. Also, not every time you play a video has an advertisement. It depends if any advertiser is bidding at that time. So, it is on the availability of ads.All your YouTube earnings are visible on your channel's YouTube Analytics. You must connect a Google AdSense account with your YouTube account to claim the money. YouTube pays you through Google AdSense.Basic steps on how you can Monetise and earn from YouTube shared below:Enable monetisation of your channel and videos.Link a Google Adsense account with your YouTube channel. This is important for you to claim the money from YouTube after your videos start making money. Threshold is 100$.When your videos are published, make sure you have monetisation "on" on them and select all types of ads.The number of times ads are being served on your videos and the kind of CPM it has decides how much money you make. e.g. 500 views, but only 100 monetizeable impressions (100 times ads were shown and not skipped before 30 seconds). If CPM is around 4$ (cost per mille - cost per 1000 impressions). So, you earn around 4$ x 100 / 1,000 = 0.4$YouTube keeps 45% and gives you 55% of the total earnings. So, your estimated earnings are different from gross earnings. Also, your final earning might differ from estimated earnings. Also, they have to pay tax too. Which is as per the country/state tax law. These are the basic steps and factors you need to know. There are more in-depth things to be considered. So, now, you can do the maths and calculate how much you can earn.More popular the channel gets, more ads Google will serve on their videos. Result: more money they make. So, my suggestion - don’t worry about money and focus on creating better (more shareable) content.
Help! Youtube video stuck at 307 views! 10 pts!?
I know this question has been asked several times before, and I know Youtube is doing this to eliminate "fraud" views however, I want to know how long does it take to get a video "unstuck" from this situation. Heres my video, its been stuck at 307 views for about 2 days... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aa6aSwgc6kY I know it should have more views because many of my friends said they watched it after they got stuck. So how long will it stay like this? And if it does get unstuck, will youtube also show the amount of views i got during the "stuck mode" in addition to the new views? Thank you!

What is considered a view on YouTube?
just playing the video (the video starting in the java script in your browser) is all it takes for a view. but if you upload videos you can see what's called 'hot spots' in your videos; if people go onto, then just click off your video, the graph shown will just be going down and down, if people watch your video over and over, without refreshing, then the graph will be quite high, it will have lots of these 'hotspots' throughout, but won't generate views like it would if you refresh the page to watch it again. i read in a book about youtube that some people do something called 'auto refreshing' which is an add-on in firefox which can allow you to set your browser to auto-refresh every few seconds, minutes or hours, so you could set it to 5 seconds, create 30 views per minute, 1800 views an hour and so you can see there how this could grow and grow! but youtube can notice this apparently, and also the person who's posted the video, if s/he does this, won't really be satisfied. hope i helped! my youtube is: www.youtube.com/JugglerMaxx encase you wanted to check out some of my videos :) Maxx
If I post a video from youtube on Facebook will the views count on youtube?
YouTube allows it's videos to be embedded into Facebook. When properly embedded (using YouTube's embed code) the Likes, Dislikes, Sharing and view counts all happen the same way as it happens in YouTube itself. However embedding the video in these different manners affects the count. Copying the YouTube embed code as-is and embedding a video on your external website will increment views normallyCopying the YouTube embed code and telling the video to autoplay will not increment views; this is because an autoplay video can be hidden from a user, which is a black hat SEO practice frowned upon by Google and YouTubeUsing a customized video widget often will not increment view counts. This is because YouTube has a hard time tracking customized code, and it cannot tell whether a video is being hidden in some waySo it's always best and effective to use YouTube's embed code to increase your views from other websites like Facebook. YouTube also provides an API that allows a coder to create their own video widget, to customize the look and action of an embedded video to better fit the host site.
