How do I convince my parents to let me change schools? I can explain the situation if you want to.
In order to get them to agree, you will have to be clear and convincing about your reasons for wanting a change, and depending on the type of parents you have, those reasons may have to be very well articulated.Start by asking yourself what might be the reasons they would say no? Cost? Change in everyone’s routine because you now have to be driven a long distance to school? Reputation of the school you want to change to? (e.g. a jock school and not academic so they may be worried about your getting into university).Then, be honest with yourself about the reasons you truly want to change? Because your best friend just transferred over? Generally not sufficient a reason in many parents’ eyes. Because you are being bullied? Because your current school doesn’t offer specialized courses that really interest you? Because you don’t like your teachers? (Tough, you’ll have bosses that you don’t like as well - learn how to to get along).And finally, what inducement can you offer if they are willing to let you change? This is, after all, a negotiation, so both sides should walk away with something they didn’t have before.
I want to change schools but my parents won't let me, please help?
I'm in year eight moving on to my ninth year at the school I'm at now, I never wanted to be at this school, from the start (after I graduated year six in primary school) yet my mum sent me to a catholic school because she thought I'd have more chance of succeeding than what I would in a government school. I'm so depressed at the school I'm at now, I've ran away from home before because I was so sick of living around mum because of the constant fights we've been having, I've even thought about committing suicide over it, I even told her this but she didn't even care. These last few holidays she made up her mind she would let me go and then over time as per usual she changed it again, she saw my face go from happy to sad and I started balling my eyes out, I just don't want to be there any more. The other school has more electives/subjects to offer, nicer/better teachers and they focus more on what I want to to do when I'm older and BONUS, it's $4000 cheaper to send me there than the school I'm at now and mum can't even afford it because she's struggling enough as it is, Can't she see that this'd be better for the both of us? Shed have more money put away, in would be happy all the time, and possibly get the job I want? I just don't want to live anymore unless I'm in that school...

I want to change my high school, but my parents won't let me. What should I do?
I was in similar situation when I was 15-16, except I don't know if it's similar enough because my main interest was and is chemistry and I live in a small country and I had some support from my teacher. To go to school focused on natural sciences I'd need to commute for about 50 min one direction. I decided to consistently spend at least as much time at home studying more chemistry and some maths, physics and biology (and almost all the time in classes where I couldn't pay much attention, e. g. history). I asked people who worked with the students at that school to send me the problems they used and tell me where to study from, and to join their extra-curricular chemistry classes a few times when I could (it ended up being only once - the schedules never matched). I also asked some other previous participants. I went to IChO. Twice. Got silver the 2nd time. I have been commuting to university for 4 years now and I had enough of it in less than a year.

Changing a school can be traumatizing for kids because they have formed their set of friends, their favourite teachers and are comfortable.Shifting a school for a child is like uprooting the child ( like a tree) and replanting him in a completely different environment with no guarantee that he will be accepted or he will accept his surroundings.It is scary because you have entirely new set of friends, teachers and people to get along.Tell them all this stuff and also tell them why you enjoy your current school and how you can run into a depression or adjustment problems which may affect your academics adversely and push the negatives more do that they are also convinced.

The best and easiest way to convey your feelings to them is to talk to them directly. They’ll surely understand your problem. When I wanted to change coaching I just dragged my dad in my room and started the conversation like -“Dad, I don’t feel satisfied where I am.” “I want better coaching.”He raised his brows and the rest of the conversation was more introgatory than explanatory. He asked me what my problems were and I just had to answer the questions. This way, it was very comfortable and easy.The point is, if you’re having problems that need to be tackled on priority basis, don’t wait for your parents to diagnose it for you. Believe me, you need guts just to initiate the conversation. Rest is a flow.I chose my dad for this discussion as I felt we share views. And he’s more comfortabe to talk to. Choose a smooth parent and then take his/her help to convince the other.
Can I get my dad arrested for not letting me drop out of school to become zayn maliks replacement in one direction?
OK so I want to drop out of school for ever. cuz I am tired of this teacher bullying me. Today he said I smelled like a wh0res handbag Wtf is he even talking about?? I was smelling like aftershave. A nice one!! so I drew up a plan to show my dad I am serious about this. It goes 1)leave school. 2)be zoo keeper. But then I herd about zayn so I'm willing to take that vacancy. I have got better at faking English accent and I would like lots of girlfriends. he didn't even look at my plan. He just got mad, saying for the last time I'm not leaving school. Said next time I mention it I will automatically get a slap. this is a democracy!! I'm tired of him saying no to EVERYTHING. Can I have a parrot? no. Can I go to manchester with my friend?no. can I have one more beer? no. can I have some money? no. so I started saying no to everything he says to me. And he had the audacity to get mad at me and yell you don't tell me no, I am the dad, I do this for you, I do that for you blah blah, I am a massive d--khead blah blah. Please arrest him and I will have fun. Fun!
My parents won't let me move schools.?
Please keep in mind I don't live in the US and I CAN apply for schools outside my zoning. and there are 5 years of high school where I am. I want to transfer to another school which is a good half an hour away. My parents REFUSE. I asked them a million times. I told them why I wanted to move (leaving out the social/emotional details). Basically my school has this sucksh*t education system and the school I want to move to has a great one. I've come to the end of my rope here. If they refuse to let me move I'm thinking of getting myself expelled or kicked out. I'm not an idiot but I don't know what else to do. For the past 2 years I've considered killing myself (which failed obviously). Please help me. I don't know what else to do. I talked to my parents. They refuse to listen to ANY reason. They don't care. All they said was: You can't do anything about the education system. Just stick with it. and all my father cares about is money. He never admits it but yeah. He doesn't want to buy new uniform or let me bus there or drive me there (I have a younger sibling). & it's not like we can't afford to change schools or anything AND my school has to change uniform next year.
