Fever that keeps coming back?

Symptoms of Fever
The symptoms of fever are quiet common to us, like

Infections

High temperature

Feeling cold

Convulsions

stiff neck

an unusual rash

difficulty breathing

seizure in small children

Generally fevers are regular occurrences, especially with children, and they are rarely harmful. But if the temperature rises too high, fatal consequences might arise.

Types of Fever
Fever can be classified in the following types according to the rise in temperature:

low grade 38–39°C (100.4–102.2°F)

moderate 39–40°C (102.2–104.0°F)

high-grade 40–42°C (104.0–107.6°F)

hyperpyrexia >42°C (>107.6°F)

Treatment of Fever
Generally fevers do not need special medical attention, unless the patient is a child, and the temperature is really high. When an individual has fever, the things that can be done to bring down the temperature and give him comfort are as follows:

The room temperature should be at a comfortable level

Fresh air should be circulating

Ensure the patient drinks plenty of water to prevent dehydration

Give ice cubes to suck

Excessive layers of clothing to be taken off

Paracetamol to be given as tablets (adults) or syrup (children); ibuprofen as tablets (adults) or syrup (children); or aspirin, for adults only. Children under 16 should not be given aspirin.

Advice
Hippocrates (ca. 400 BC) had said, "Give me a fever, and I can cure any illness."

Thus it has been often debated and researches have demonstrated that fever has several important functions in the healing process. They are as follows:

mobility of leukocytes increases

leukocytes phagocytosis enhances

endotoxin effects decreases

proliferation of T Cells increase

activity of interferon enhances.

Will my fever come back?

I got the flu yesterday and my fever stayed around 102 for the whole day. I just woke up and it went down to 99.2 Does this mean the flu has gone away? or do i still have the flu and my fever will come back.

Why does my fever keep coming back?

I'm 14 and I left school early on Friday because I had a fever of 96° F, a horrible headache, back ache, sore throat and body aches. A few hours later I had a fever of 99.9°F right after I took my medicine, Top Care Pain Relief Cough and Sore Throat, but my fever soon went down to a 98.8. On Saturday I'm not sure if I had a fever or not since I didn't take my temp. On Sunday I woke up with a fever of 100.9 and took my medicine and it soon went down but it went back up to a 100.8 and about 40 minuets ago I woke up with a fever about 101.4.

This did not happen the last time I was sick in November.
What could this be?
Is it just the medicine wearing off?
Also should I got to school today?

Does hay fever come back every year?

Thanks for the A2A.Hay fever (or allergic rhinitis) is caused by your body overreacting to allergens in the air, usually pollen. Since pollen comes seasonally, people who suffer from hay fever will have similar symptoms every year around the same time. It's a chronic disorder, not a one-time deal, although the symptoms can change with time.Considering you've had the symptoms for a few weeks, it's most likely your hay fever and not a cold. A nasal spray with antihistamines (like loratadine) could help your symptoms. Most people need more than one medication, and some cases might require prescription medication, so you should talk to your doctor about it.In spite of the name, hay fever doesn't usually cause actual fever. If your temperature is high, it's most likely an infection and you should see a doctor asap.

How can I treat a pain in my back, fever, and chills?

I could give the glib response of “take two aspirin and call me in the morning” but that would be insufficient. The problem is simple. Your symptoms could be a simple and self-limited viral infection which will go away -OR- the harbinger of a life-threatening condition such as a major kidney infection approaching septicemia.Do you want to bet your life on the web comments you can read?
