How Do I Get My Hair To Look

My hair looks very helmet like...?

Use thinning shears to thin it out a bit. Don't thin it too much or your hair will stick out everywhere and look lifeless. It will allow the hair the lie flatter and follow the shape of your head and appear less boxy helmet like. Thinning shears are basically scissors with teeth on the blades. The teeth don't cut bluntly like blades do. The teeth on the blades allow to layer the hair for better blending.

Also using a serum like Garnier sleek and shine smoothing serum (my favorite) just a pea size amount worked into just the ends (work any left over product up the length a bit) will help it lay smoother.

My hair looks better with sweat?!?

Im a dude who has always had tough hair to manage because I guess it's really fine and combing it does absolutely nothing. Im not someone that likes to use a bunch of gel or moose, but Ive tried alot of diferent products from gel to wax to spray gel and none really do what I want it to do. By mid day, my hair is flat and just not good. But, I have noticed that after working out and sweating, after it dries, its perfect. It stands up and looks normal. Is there any product that could give me a similar look or am I outa luck? Thanks

Why do I always feel like my hair looks bad?

I’m gonna throw this out there as a funky spitball. I’m pretty sure it’s not the answer but in the really low chance it is…This came up in a radio show I heard several years back but if your hair’s asymmetrical, there’s a thing with mirrors vs pictures and real life that can cause a great deal of awkwardness when you look at yourself. After styling your hair in a mirror to a point that looks passable, you’ll take a selfie and wonder why you look dreadful but can’t put a finger on it. when someone does your hair for you and you actually look fine in pictures and to everyone else, you may look in a mirror and find that it doesn’t look right at all.So yeah, if the way your hair’s parted/pointing seems awkward and destroys the whole image for you, the fact that you’re looking at it through a mirror may be an issue. Try snapping selfies instead and if that looks okay, then you know what’s what.If not, then…well, not much I can say, perhaps your guidelines on a good ’do are a bit strict compared to that of your surroundings.

How do I make my hair look electrocuted????

I assume you're on stage with normal hair before this happens? So presumably, you can't take a long time, wetting your curly hair and drying it wild.

Therefore, I'd suggest selectively teasing it with a comb and hair spray. This can be done fairly quickly to get the look.

After the show, have a bottle of leave-in spray conditioner on hand. This will help you comb the teasing back out of your hair without damaging it too much. Since teasing is essentially deliberating tangling your hair, you'll also have to be patient while you comb it out. Yanking at the tangles *will* damage your hair - breaking it and possibly tearing at the roots.
