Are you sure it wasn't you who messed up? Because you have no control over the baby sitter and there is no way they'd make a game where you get your kids taken away because the sitter was neglectful. Whenever I leave my sim babies with a sitter the sitter always does just fine and it's not like I had any control over that. Anyway, I don't think you're going to get your kids back. Idk if they'll even let you adopt but if it does, you won't be getting back the kids that got taken away, you'll just be getting new ones.

Wow, what an awful situation to be in, but from experience, the only thing I can tell you is to play by their rules, and do whatever they ask you. They have gotten involved for what they feel is a good reason, and unless you can prove them wrong, you are at their mercy! Cps takes kids first and ask questions later! Do I agree with it? OF course not! But once you are under their radar, you can either comply with them, or if not, they will make your life miserable until you do, they get whatever they want, one way or another! I think the CPS or some form of it is needed for kids sakes, but I think the current operations of CPS needs to be updated or heavily revised, and maybe even from under the control of the state! They have a code or handbook they are supposed to go by, but they don't, and it's all perfectly legal! I feel as though the governor or even the president should get more involved on this issue, but I guess Bush will only do that when hell freezes over! Until then, millions of homes will continue to be broken up because of some overzealous CPS workers and investigations not done deep enough into allegations of abuse and neglect!

It's not a problem really - that's how the game is set up to play out. Maxis has a somewhat pious bee in its bonnet about that kind of issue. There are various ways around it but you won't get them back via adoption because once children are taken away, the social worker won't give that family another child. However, the first adoptees out of the pool are always the last children who went into it. You could create a temporary adult who could adopt the lost children. The idea is you make them good friends with the original family and then move them in with the original family. At the last, you make the temporary adult move out and either continue to play their story or kill them (don't delete - bad idea - makes for game corruption). The children will have their memories wiped though. Personally, if it were me, I'd do it with Debug Mode which means activating the cheat boolprop testingcheatsenabled true Once you have done that, you need to shift-click on a sim and then choose spawn-tombstone of life and death (I think it's that one). Then find the option on there to 'add neighbour to family'. That way you should get the children back with their memories intact. If you are not used to using Debug Mode, it's probably a good idea to turn it off again (replace the true with false). You can delete the tombstone. I should say I've never done this actual thing - I don't have that much trouble with the social worker and have a hack that makes her behave more reasonably in the first place.

I have never lied to the courts, never negleted my children, I was a good mom but had gotten into trouble with drugs, I do not have a clean record no. I have a 4 bedroom apartment with two spare bedrooms, I have custody of my youngest child and take care of her without welfares help. I have been clean and sober for 4 years and went to rehab once kids were taken away, DCF did not help me in ways to get my kids back, my son was only 5 months old when this happened and DCF wanted to keep my kids for adoption purposes. The family that was going to take them were only becoming foster parents so that they could adopt a child. I take my children to there activitys, softball, soccer, ice skating, gymnastics, I supply them with all of there clothes and pay child support. I have the finacial means to take them and the space to take them. They have a good family support at my house. I am remarried to another man that is not ther father but is my youngest father, They love him also.

Work your case plan if you work your plan and complete or almost complete it they should give your children back. Also maintain visitation and your job and everything should be fine. Don't miss because in most states if you don't finsh your plan in a year the state takes permenant custody and they adopt your kids out.
