Got married and trying to change my last name in my profile, doesn't show up when I send an e-mail?
Change how your name appears on your email. Click Options in the top-right corner of your Yahoo! Mail page and select Mail/More Options. From the list on the left, click Accounts. Click Yahoo! Mail under Accounts In the your 'From' name" field, enter your name exactly as you'd like it to appear within your outgoing messages If you leave the Reply-To field blank, your Yahoo! Mail address will be automatically included as the return address in your outgoing messages. If you'd like a different return address to be included, enter it in the Reply-To field Click the Save button to put your new settings into effect. *****************************~~~~~~~~~... Ok then. If you are using a yahoo mail account then you cannot change your name. HOWEVER you can change the name when you send someone an email. All you have to do is go to your yahoo mail,click options,click general preferences and where it says under name and email:FROM NAME type in the name you want people to see when you send them emails,then save. After that you can test it by sending an email to your other email account if you have one.

How do i take my name off my emails?
You just need to change the "from line" setting. Mail page>>options (top right)>>mail options. The "general" page opens----(or, you may have to scroll to and click on "general preferences"). At the top of that page----erase the name that shows on the From line and type in something else---a nickname or an alias or whatever suits you-----then click "save" changes at the top or bottom of page. (You can't leave that line blank---otherwise Yahoo re-inserts the previous name). Just in case you're using the "New Mail". Mail page>>options>>mail options>>accounts (side panel)>>add/edit an account>>Yahoo mail (side panel)>>edit>>general preferences----and change it and save it.
I created and named a file in my yahoo email acct., to save certain emails. I deleted the emails, but.........
On the left side of your mail page is the panel where your folders are listed. There at the top is: "ADD---EDIT". Click on edit and a window comes up with all the folders listed with the option to either "rename or delete".
