You can make a group list. It will take a few minutes, but you'll have it when you need to contact the same folk again. Thirty to fifty maximum recipients.


Open Contacts from the tab at the top of your inbox

Down the left side there is a tiny + sign next to the word "lists"

Click on it and your contact list opens

Check the boxes for the ones you want to add to this list, or the top box to add all

Click on Assign to Lists

In the box, give the list a name you'll remember.

Save



To send a message to a Group List:


Click on BCC

Type the name of the Group List in the box

The group list name appears in a drop down, click on it and

All the members of the group should be populated into the "To" box

In the new mail you see their saved name, not their email address, but as long as there is an email address associated with the saved name the message will be sent to them.


I would strongly recommend you add the group as BCC to maintain the privacy of each individual on the list.

You can also search for files, settings, and control panels in this same way. So if you want to adjust how long it takes before your PC goes to sleep, type power options and it'll appear. It's much faster than drilling down via a hierarchy of folder or menus.

You can also customize the start screen by pinning your favorite programs and unpinning the stuff you don't use/want.

There's also a way to see all the programs installed on your PC. Switch to the start screen and right click, then click all apps. You can do the same thing by pressing Ctrl + Tab while on the start screen.

Quite a few of the start screen apps require a Microsoft Account. If you have a Hotmail, Outlook, or Live email address then sign in using that if it asks.

Oh, and you don't have to buy MS Office if you only use it occasionally. I suggest downloading a free office suite like LibreOffice. It's also compatible with MS Office document formats so you'll be able to take them to work.
