How Do I Get My Old Yahoo Format Back

How can I get back my old Yahoo mail format?

There is a workaround while we wait for Yahoo to realize they should not force us to change. Follow the directions in this YouTube video https://www.google.com/url?q=http://www.... to use the mobile version of Yahoo. If you have already switched, sign the petition at http://www.petitionbuzz.com/petitions/ya... to try to gain momentum to show Yahoo they should listen to us. Complain! Stand up and be heard! I feel the same way. You can try to call Customer Support, but they just say they have a high volume of calls and disconnect. But I complained through feedback and a site survey. I hope everyone else does the same! Complain through Feedback http://feedback.help.yahoo.com/feedback.... and if you have a Twitter account, tell Yahoo CEO/designer of the NewPooMail what you think: https://twitter.com/marissamayer and please spread the word about the petition and the workaround.

It appears that the question period has expired. If you have received an answer that meets your needs, _please_ choose one of those as a 'best answer' as soon as you can; otherwise, this question will go to an automatic vote. If you haven't received a good answer for your question, you may want to consider the following,

1) Remove this version of your question and re-post your question. Newer questions get more activity on Yahoo! Answers than old ones.
2) If you do re-post your question, consider why it wasn't answered the first time. Could it be more specific? Could it be worded better? Were there grammatical or spelling errors? Was it in the best category? Can you provide more helpful details?

If it doesn't seem likely that re-posting your question will help you, then here's a listing of my favorite 'answer sites'. Maybe one of them will help you.

Answers.com http://www.answers.com/
Bartleby http://www.bartleby.com/
Yahoo Reference http://education.yahoo.com/reference/
HowStuffWorks http://www.howstuffworks.com/

Since I really haven't answered your question, it is not necessary to give me any points. This post is simply to encourage you to pick a best answer or to help you find a good answer.

If you're concerned that I am unfairly voting for my own answer, please review this information first. It has also been provided to the Y!Answers team.

I want my OLD yahoo format back.?

This is a little difficult to answer since Yahoo has many services and you didn't mention which service you mean. But judging by the many questions posted on YA in the last couple of days you could mean your mail account. If so...

Once you have the new Mail Beta, you will no longer be able to switch back to All New Mail and/or see a switch-back link to Mail Classic, but I'm slightly visually impaired and found an interesting workaround a few weeks ago to at least get back to Mail Classic: lower your screen resolution, and as soon as it's too low for the new mail, you will get a message displayed asking if you want to switch to Mail Classic. Click "yes". Of course you can switch back to your original screen resolution once you have mail classic back..:-)

Another option: turn off Javascript - you'll then be asked if you want to return to Mail Classic, click "yes".

In case you don't know how to turn off Javascript...

For IE: tools -> internet options -> security. In security click "custom level" -> disable active scripting in the scripting section. Remember to turn Javascripting back on when you are back in Mail Classic since without it some mail functions won't work

For Firefox: tools -> options -> content, click on "disable Javascript". Now hit F5 to refresh the page while you are in yahoo email in order to kick in the option (permanent) to switch back to classic. Do not click on the "one time" option. Turn it back on once you have your "Classic" account back.

Yahoo will NOT get rid of Mail Classic, read this, dated June 20: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/cl...

How do I get back my old email format?

Click on OPTIONS...right side of your email screen near the upper middle. one of those options will be to return to MAIL CLASSIC which has the bigger email screen.

For your information if you hold down the CTRL button....lower left of your keyboard...and rotate the wheel on your mouse you can increase the letters to a larger size....I always get it mixed up because rotating it one way makes them smaller and the other way makes them larger. good luck.

How Do I Get Back To The Old Yahoo! Mail?

There is no link to go back that is what yahoo has failed to let users know. But there are two ways to go back that I know of see below to see what I did and it did work.If your talking going back to all new mail that's not an option it's gone read below and go back to classic mail I did it see how I did below.

There are large numbers of users on here with similar issues. Two ways to back to the other mail that I know of.The new beta mail they say it's 2X faster it's really 10X slower I had it I lost more than half my mail folders.I did a live chat session w/Yahoo told them if I can't go back I will leave yahoo they switched back. Two ways to switch back you can go & do a like chat session with a Yahoo customer service rep/agent like I did.To do this go here.Click on the link below to do your live chat.

http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/cl... Direct link to chat w/yahoo https://sales.liveperson.net/hc/63758332...

And the other way is if you reduce your screen down just not sure how far down. But if you reduce it down far enough you will see an option to switch back. This will not switch you back to the all new mail it will switch you back to the Yahoo classic mail.Or you can just try emailing Yahoo with your issues that will take some time 3-4 days if your lucky.

How do I get back to the old Gmail format? I can't search Trash and I find the new form difficult.

There is/was an option to switch back to classic GMail view from settings (the “gear icon” near the upper-right corner). Some people have mentioned that it’s no longer an option, but I’m still seeing it for now. It will go away eventually, and you’ll only have the newer view.To search your trash, just put “in:trash” as part of your search.

How do I get old yahoo email back?

Depends on what your old format was ???? The "all New Mail"------(which "WAS" the one between Beta and Classic)---has been completely eliminated---AND---replaced with Yahoo Mail (Beta version). It's gone forever. No possibility of returning to it------ever. AND The Classic Mail----Once you have switched to the new Yahoo Mail (Beta version)---you are NOT allowed (by Yahoo) to return to Classic Mail. ........................................... However, regarding Classic---there is (currently) a workaround to get back to Classic that works for most. Just lower the page "resolution" to the point where it won't support the Beta version and you will be asked if you want to switch to Classic.

How can I get my old yahoo mail format back? I absolutely hate the new format that you forced upon me!!!!?

You can't get back to the old format and to be honest I doubt that Y! will offer the option given the fiasco that happened with Classic mail (ie they offered the option then and a lot of people reverted. When it came time to close Classic mail there was an even bigger uproar).

So now you have an option to revert to "Basic" mail, but this is just a stripped down version of the new mail and nothing like the old version http://help.yahoo.com/kb/index?page=cont...

Personally I've found that by disabling one setting (conversations) then the familiarity increased and it's been a lot easier to use (removes grouping of mails in folders & the inbox, removes the hidden threading in mail conversations etc). You can try it yourself as follows http://help.yahoo.com/kb/index?page=cont...

How do I get back the old Yahoo home page I hate this new format?

What is going on with the Yahoo home page and this idiotic new format, loaded with old recycled stories that they've run before sometimes that are two year old, and when a person does want to read an article, after clicking onto it you read a sentence to a paragraph and then are forced to click to another page to continue reading which is bombarded with stupid adds galore. Also very few have a comments section, and if you want to make a comment they want you to log into a Facebook account or some other goofy twitter etc. program. If there is a comment box and your allowed to make a comment there is no option for follow-ups or past comments. The only way around that is to go to "Yahoo Canada" and pick an article and go to the comments box at the bottom because "Yahoo Canada" has not changed the format......its still the old "Yahoo format' where you can see all past comments and reply's..... The whole program and layout is ridicules anymore!
