How Do I Get Rid Of A Mousr In My House

How to get rid of mice in your house?

What are ways to get rid of mice other than setting traps, getting a cat or snake?
We have set the wooden traps caught two of the mice but still got more and we leave the traps out but dont catch them. We put out the sticky gule traps again caught a few but not them all. Seems the mice get smart and learn NOT to step on them traps.
We dont want a cat, and we got a sanke but we dont let the snake out to roam our house. So thats not going to happen neither.
We have called around and was told since we have kids the best they can do is come and set mice traps for us. So thats not going to help neither. So does anyone know of any other things that will make them go away? Someone said put mothballs down and that works but i dont know. What do mice hate?

How do you get rid of house mice?

We have recently found out that we have mice in our old duplex we are renting. We called the landlord, but he's taking too long & I'm concerned because I have a baby who is still crawling & a toddler. Plus, I'm pregnant. We have put out those glue traps and killed 5 already, but I keep finding more droppings. I know they are a new thing because we have been here 2 years & just this past month I have found the droppings. Can they really multiply that fast? And is it really bad to clean the droppings up when I am pregnant? I'm very clean & my house is not cluttered. I can't even begin to think of how they are coming in? Does anyone else have this problem and how can I get rid of it?

If you see one mouse, you have far more than one. The “lone mouse” you are seeing are very unlikely to be the same mouse. They live in extended families wherever they are seen. You are just seeing only one at a time. There are many traps available. Glue traps that are peanut butter scented have worked best for me, and having a pet cat helps. If you wish to be compassionate, you can drown mice stuck to traps in a bucket. If you can’t face it, just put in the outside trash. The traps have no poison, just hold mice stuck to them. be careful not to touch the glue. Never place where a pet’s paw can reach to get to one, or a child. If what you saw was a young rat, you must ramp up what you would normally do for mice. Rats are far smarter and the only way to get them all is to use “one bite” poison. As the name implies, it kills with just one bite. You must be very careful with it so no one or pets come into contact with it. Older rats will never fall for the same traps that younger ones will get caught in. Mice are not as smart. The problem with having rodents is that once you are rid of the ones you have, other ones will move in to take up space. They can smell the scent trails left by the earlier rodents. Continue to leave out traps, and use Google search to read about “How to keep rats and mice out of a house”. You will find tips on plugging anywhere they can get in.An adult cat or kitten can help deter mice. Rats will gang up and kill a kitten, if given the opportunity. Rats will often leave the areas where an active adult cat can chase them.

How to get rid of mouse in my kitchen?!?

Yesterday my grandmother came home and said she found a mouse in the blender machine which was filled with soap and water ready to clean and she said it was bobbing its head up and down so she took it outside and let it in the grass. It stayed there for quite some time, maybe two hours.

Well today, I went into the kitchen and I saw a mouse eating cake... It was on top of the pan on the counter digging into the foil that was on top of the cake. And it literally just stood there. I think it can't hear or see, because if it could wouldn't it run away from me? I like animals but mice, they just freak me out. I wanted to trap it but I was too scared... It eventually ran around the counter, over the sink, onto the microwave and climbed up the fridge (I don't see how it could do that if it couldn't see). I believe it is a field mouse and I think it's the same one my grandmother let outside yesterday.

I really want to get rid of it without killing it... Glue traps maybe? I just don't like the idea of mice running all over the kitchen into our food, cupboards, pantry... and the diseases they carry. I now want to get rid of anything that the mouse got into, starting with the cake.

How can I get rid of this mouse, or any mice for that matter, scavenging through the kitchen (without killing it, if possible..)?! And how do I go about disinfecting anything that it was on (dishes, cans and containers, counters)? Will soap and hot water do or should I use bleach?

Thanks!!

How can I get rid of a mouse from my kitchen?

For 3 days I've heard a scratching noise from the cupboard under my kitchen sink. It sounds very much like it might be a mouse.

If I open the cupboard and it jumps out, it will hide somewhere else and I won't be able to catch it to put it out.

So how can I catch it?

Alternatively, how do I persuade my cat to sit and wait for it while I open the cupboard?

The sink is against a wall backing on to a shared storage room. From memory (I"m not going to look now) there is only a tiny gap where the drain pipe goes down. SO I don't even know how it might have gotten in there. Any clues?
