How Do I Get Rid Of A Peeling Face

How to get rid of peeling skin on face?

Hi Tanvi, I am so happy that I can share with you an easy and a very effective solution for this problem. I too have a very dry skin and my face is extremely sensitive to even the best brands of cosmetics. I recently came across a recipe while watching a makeover TV show. The bride to be in that show had the same issue. So the skin expert suggested the following recipe; take two spoons of pure sandalwood powder, mix in it a pinch of pure saffron (kesar), add to it 50 gms well grounded almonds and finally mix in two tablespoons of wheat germ oil (in case you don’t find it, use olive oil) and keep this paste in a closed container at room temperature. Now, after you wash your face every night, use some of this paste with 2 spoons of full cream milk on your face. For me, its effects were magical. It exfoliates, nourishes, moisturizes and makes the skin porcelain smooth in just a week…without any side effects, rashes, or a skin break out. If you feel like, you can apply a little moisturizer after using it. Let me know if it worked for you. All the best!

How to get rid of peeling skin fast?! ?

-Apply a high-quality moisturizing cream. Moisturizers stimulate the skin's production of collagen and elastin, thereby causing the skin to gain volume and tighten, stopping peeling.

-Apply pure aloe vera gel to peeling skin. The aloe vera plant contains potent agents that can sooth, moisturize and restore balance to peeling skin. Apply the gel to the affected area for 30 minutes twice daily, especially after showering. You can find aloe vera gel at your local health food store.

-Apply vitamin E oil to the affected area. Vitamin E is an antioxidant that can help reduce the redness associated with peeling skin while keeping it moisturized. Gently rub the oil on the affected area and leave on overnight.

Good luck!

How do I get rid of dry peeling skin on the face?

I have had dry "peely" skin my whole life. What I do is wash my face with Spectro Jel and moisturize with alcohol free gentle toner and maybe a light moisturizing cream for the really dry areas like my nose. Then I wait for a while until my skin starts to dry up (20 minutes or so). This is when I start to peel. Take a wash cloth and soak it in warm water. wring it out and use it to gently slough away the dead flakes. This is like a spot treatment so you are only doing it where it's the worst and not your whole face. Be gentle!! Over doing it can leave your skin raw! After that moisturize again. If you can't get the products I mentioned don't worry about it. What works for me probably won't work for you anyways. Try the washcloth thing though and see how that works. If you have dry skin under your eyebrow hair use a Q-Tip soaked in lysterine and comb out the flakes going with the grain- outward. I hope that helps you.

Should I exfoliate my sunburned face to get rid of the peeling skin?

If you are still sunburned, then do not. It will irritate your skin more than you can imagine. I've been in the same situation countless times ( I live in Florida) and only when the burn was completely gone did I start exfoliating again. If you are not healed, then get Aloe. It will help tremendously.

I have lived in Florida my entire life, and have burned so badly that I had blisters across my shoulders and face. I have had severe dehydration, and also had sun poisoning. Trust me, you are very lucky you do not burn easily. I'm naturally strawberry blonde, so that gives you an idea of how light my skin is. I even get burned and blistered when I'm slathered in SPF 55 and under an umbrella! I'm 19, and within the next year I will be going to a dermatologist to start getting regular skin cancer checks. Please, if you are going to the beach, do not even leave your home without putting sunscreen on, get a moisturizer with SPF 20 at least.

I am not trying to sound like your mother, but it is a real thing. I have been burned so badly that I have vomited 4 times in 1 hour from sun poisoning ( that's what lead me to dehydration) That was earlier this year, and I still have the tan lines. Please be careful. I do not want you to end up like me and my mother going to the derm. every few months because another spot turned up.

How do you get rid of dry, peeling, flaky facial skin? with things from around the house???

soak a wash cloth in hot water and rub it in gentle circles all over your face for 10-15 minutes. The hot water will open your pores and release some of the natural oils in your face to help moisturize your face. Rubbing the wash cloth on your face will gently slough off the dead skin and applying a moisturizer specifically for dry, flaky skin (try something by Olay or Dove) will help protect and moisturize the new layer of skin that's exposed. using a moisturizer every morning and night is important because if your face secretes too much of its natural oils, your skin will look greasy.

How do I get rid of peeling skin from sunburn?

The dead (pealing) skin will essentially remove itself. You can speed this up with gentle exfoliation. I would avoid using anything to rough and scratchy. I usually use a small towel in the shower with warm water to gently scrub away the peeling skin. Follow this with a good dose of moisturiser to help nourish the new skin. It will be right as rain in a few days if its just a superficial sunburn. Stay hydrated and avail sun exposure while you are healing.Consider looking at prevention. High SPF sunscreen, hat and shirt when in the sun and limit exposure to those harmful UVA and UVB rays.

Can you spray tan if your skin is peeling?

I recently began sun tanning for the first time in my life. Well I think I've over done it and my skin is starting to peel a bit on my arms, leaving behind not so tan skin underneath.

So would a spray tan help me get rid of these splotches?
