How Do I Get Rid Of Restless Legs

Restless leg syndrome...restless arm syndrome?

I have had restless leg syndrome since I was a teenager, but lately I have been having similar sensations in my arms as well. Both occur simultaneously. In addition, the uncomfortable feelings are more intense in my groin area. I typically wake up shortly affter falling asleep with it, and it keeps me up for anywhere from a half hour to an hour and a half. There seems to be no correlation to caffeine, and I have tried stretching before bed. Nothing seems to work. Anyone else know this feeling? Does stress have anything to do with it? I also exercise (weights, running) regularly.

Can you get restless leg syndrome in your arms and how do you get rid of it?

Arms, hips, shoulders, back…it’s maddening. How you get rid of it is a tough one. If you have RLS with periodic limb movement, there are drugs out there to help you. It might even actually be tied to your iron levels. If you’re like me, and you don’t have the PLMD with it, there is a good chance that the usual suspects won’t work for you. But you should try them anyway because they might. For me, if I catch it early, Klonopin really helps. If that isn’t cutting it, sometimes a warm shower will help. When they’re really bad, the only thing that helps me is opioids. I have excruciating chronic pain, so I have them on hand.I’ve noticed that, like a lot of parasomnias, my RLS is a lot worse when I haven’t slept, so if you have insomnia or other issues that are keeping you from getting the sleep you need, you should try to get treatment for those, especially if the RLS meds don’t work.

Restless legs all the time?

I think that I may have RLS (Restless leg syndrome). I feel like I'm always shaking/bouncing my legs and if I'm not I have my legs crossed to stop the bouncing. If I keep my legs in one spot for even a few minutes, my legs start to ache. is this be RLS or a normal behavior?

Can't sleep because of restless leg syndrome?

For a few years I've had trouble sleeping, I get wierd sensations in my legs and arms. I saw a commercial about restless leg syndrome and it described everything I feel. How do I get rid of this? The only way I've managed is by taking pain killers (vicodin, oxycodone) it numbs me up and I am able to get sleep without feeling these sensations. But I don't want to keep doing this and end up addicted to these pills. Please if anyone knows a treatment let me know.

Any tips for relieving Restless Legs Syndrome?

I have been up for two nights straight because I can't stop moving and kicking all night. Zero rest. This happens at least 3 nights a week, and i'm becoming a zombie because of it. I was diagnosed with RLS several years ago, and have tried many medications, but gotten no relief. At this point I can't afford a dr so I can't try any of the new drugs. I'd really appreciate it if anyone else with this condition could tell me how to calm it down without a prescription. I'm at the end of my rope here, so any help is appreciated.
