You make a donkey out of yourself by assuming. And, Niamh. I'd just explain to your parents how your phone is not functional anymore and since your mom wants an iPhone maybe you could have her old phone. And so you an keep in touch with them, or if there is an emergency like calling 911. And even do them favors like cleaning the yard or the house and make yourself seem responsible and worthy of getting a phone. And tell them that you would really appreciate it. I need someone to help me with my iPhone 4?
When I got the phone, the lady that I traded with told me that she bought it from at&t. She said that she used a straight talk phone card with it, and that it worked. Therefore I assumed that it was unlocked, and she told me that it was as well. Before I left from meeting with her, she Factory Reset the iPhone. When I arrived home and placed my DTC Wireless (my phone server) sim card it gave me the option to choose which language I wanted to use, and I selected English. Next, I pressed the blue arrow at the right hand at the top of the screen. That gave me the option to choose what Country I wanted to select. I chose United States, and again I tapped the blue arrow to move on to the next step. I then had to choose a wireless network, which I did and it connected to my Wi-Fi. After that I once again tap the green arrow to move to the last step and when I do so it tells me that my sim card is invalided/not supported. The iPhone will not let me go pass those steps. I cannot get to the main screen, ect. If I press the "home" button it gives me a set of options which are as the following, Emergency Call, Start Over, and Wi-Fi Settings. That is all that I can do with my iPhone. Before she performed the Factory Reset it, it would let you do just about anything to it. It did not have a sim card in it, therfore it did not have service, but it atleast let me go into the actual phone. Please help me. I would greatly appreciate it. I have paid 30 dollars to have cellunlock.net to unlocked the iPhone. They gave me step by step instruction on how to unlock it through Itunes, but that did not work. I have tried just about everything I know to do. I can't get into the phone to use the dial pad for any reason. I can't get into the phone at all. As I said earlier, it will not let me go pass the options listed above. Please help?
