How Do I Get Someone To Come Look At My School Regarding Health Regulations

What is the Army Regulation on inspections of off post housing?

I couldn't find a specific AR addressing this so, I can only speak from personal experience. The last 4yrs of my enlistment was spent married and mostly in off-post housing and I never had an NCO ask to inspect our apartment or house, however myself and another NCO where asked a couple of times to inspect a soldiers off-post housing because his landlord had called complaining about the condition of the living space. Like other's have said your Chain-of-Command is required to ensure the health, welfare, and safety of the soldiers under them. At the time my Commander did specifically tell us to call the soldier in question and inform him that we where coming.

Army health and welfare regulation for off post housing?

It is a standard check to make sure your place isn't a pigsty or looks like it should be in the TV Show Hoarders. As long as you have it looking decent (they do understand some messiness especially if you have kids), clean looking, stuff put away then it is fine. They are not going to open drawers, closets, etc.. unless there is a reason (ie drug use is suspected).

During class, I saw someone looking at guns on their laptop. What do I do?

Looks like you’ve already gotten pretty good answers, so I’ll chime in with my experience from the other side of the question.I was in class and we were working on a project. The leader of another group needed something cut and was desperately looking around for scissors, I saw what she needed cut and I offered to help. She accepted and was dumbstruck when I pulled out my multi tool and cut it with a knife. She straight up asked me, with a look of fear on her face, why I had a knife. No idea how to respond I simply said I always have a multitool on me because I never know when I’ll need it. It was left at that and we finished our projects. We had been in a class together for almost 2 months at the time and with another month and a half to go, I wasn’t sure what to do or say to make it more comfortable for her.Last, I didn’t dare tell her I have a concealed carry permit and had a pistol on me. The last thing I want is someone afraid or hysterical, nor do I want to cause trouble. Like most gun owners, my guns are 95% hobby.Fear of the alien is probably the most difficult fear to face and is only conquered through understanding. She probably had never lived around anything but kitchen knives and box cutters, while I grew up as a boyscout and I had been in the military for 2 years at that point. I do my best to be an example to those, who aren’t around guns or knives and try to show them it’s just a tool and there isn’t anything to be afraid of.When I encounter a fear of my own, I do my best to learn about it.My two cents. Hope my perspective helps.Note: In my state its completely legal to conceal carry at universities, and at the end of the recent election it came in handy to protect my classmates from a pack of thugs harassing minorities and foreign students around the school.

How can I find out about workplace regulations for co-workers who openly dress their wounds?

There is a person that I work with who has strange "wounds" all over his body and he sits at his desk and openly dresses, cleans the wounds. Sometimes, there will be bloody gauze and napkins on his desk. He throws these materials in his trash or in the kitchen trash. How can I find out about workplace safety? I have looked online but do not really know where to look and my company doesn't have anything listed.

Why do we need rules & regulations?

When citizens abandon morals, ethics, integrity, as they are now.. We would have much more chaos and destruction, if there weren’t Rules and Regulations. The Ten Commandments were handed down as your basic Guidebook for Living.Pretty simple rules to follow, actually. Thou Shalt Not Kill! It is never ok to take a life! Thou shalt not Steal! Thou Shalt not covet! etc.. These are really what is behind Karmic and Universal Laws to live by. If you steal, you will have something stolen from you, that you might be attached to! Whether monetary value or sentimental. If you take a human life, some one may be taken from you, that you love so very much. If you covet what others have, in terms of jealousy about their home, their bigger cars, their furniture, their wives or husbands, you will ultimately suffer the consequences of inconsiderate Actions!Leave the world a better place than which you found it. Take only what you need for Survival, only the food you need each day and nothing more. Remember there are virtues and Graces we are here to learn about like, Forgiveness, Gratitude, Love, Joy, Peace, Humility, and the Universe will respond in kind. Be kinder to those who cross your path, who may be downtrodden, down on their Luck so to speak.. Only help others up, when they are down. Compassion is what God/Spirit has for you.. Treat others in same manner.Fight the rules that want to take away your Freedoms, your Freedom of Speech, your inalienable Rights as a Human Being by all means.. Fight against Corruption in Government, in all factions of Politics and Politicians. Fight against those who are false prophets, pastors who don’t do or follow what they preach. Fight back against Hypocrisy. But don’t grow up thinking you should not have to follow rules. They are there, for a reason. The one true Rule you should follow, is You reap what you sow. Or, Do Unto Others, as you would have them do unto You!

Why are schools allowed to dictate how long and what color students' hair is if it affects their lives outside of the classroom as well?

First, you generally have to distinguish between private and public schools. If you are talking about private schools, then the relationship and rights/powers of the school and students is dictated by school policy, like a contract. If a student is enrolled and the hair policy is clearly laid out, then the student is agreeing to those terms in order to attend (If the hair policy is not laid out, that is another matter).Public schools have more limitations. They may, generally, only regulate appearance for the general health and well-being (interruption of education) of the students and community. To be ridiculous, if a student actively allowed lice in their hair (or set it on fire), the school could limit such practices. Of course, schools have been known to abuse what they consider general health and well-being (does pink hair “disrupt?”), and those can end up appealed up to the school board or even end up in court. Two specific limits on public school hair regulation are that schools must accept bona fide religious practices (such as Sikhs not cutting hair) and must enforce hair regulations equally. Again, it is a balance between safety/distraction and the student’s rights. Students with longer hair may be asked to wear it a certain way for safety reasons in PE.One last thing. Your question supposes that something that affects a student outside a classroom is out of the purview of a school. Hopefully, EVERYTHING a school does affects what the student does outside of school, otherwise, what’s the point?Be well.

How do I go about seeking education for alternative medicine?

Right now I'm going into my second year of college and I'm looking to change my major or even transfer. I was a business major the first year but I've had a spiritual awakening and homeopathic studies, acupuncture, Chinese medicine, are all an interest to me. So what should I change my major to? There isn't an alternative medicine major at my school.
Do I have to study biology first and then go to a special homeopathic school?
Do all homeopathic schools require me to be a doctor first? (get the biology degree at my college and then go to medical school and THEN go to a homeopathic school)???
I'm kind of lost on how to go about with this career I've been asking everyone I know, thanks

Is it Health code to wear a hat/Visor if working in a restaraunt.?

My boss' wife recently decided to order hats for kitchen work and visors for the wait staff. Some of the waitresses' complained about having to wear visors and the boss (because she has to always get her way) Claimed that it is health regulation. One worker made the comment that they would rather wear a hairnet than the visor (health being the case) but now the boss has decided that anyone who will not wear the hat or visor will be fired.
I Dont think that the hat/visor is a health regulation.
I would think that if someone were fired over a health regulation that didnt exist then that person (losing their job on false grounds) would be able to take the matter to court.

The hat/visors wont be in effect till june but a waitress asked me to look into it for her, so if anybody has any info or links to official websites with health codes, please post them.
