How Do I Get The Green Layout Back

Do you still miss the green layout?

I literally joined a couple days after the shift to purple, so I have no idea how the green was.

...Feels like it only happened yesterday when it was like what, 4-5 years?

How do I get the old yahoo answers layout back? (green). I don't like the new one. I find it inconvenient!?

On the US site you can't. You can however switch to either the Canadian or UK & Ireland portals of Answers.

Who here misses the green layout?

I know it's been years since they've changed the layout, but I remember how likely Y!A used to be when we had the green layout. To this day my account is still super slow and glitchy with this purple layout. I never understood why y!a never changed it back to the old layout like everyone wanted them to.

Does anyone else want the Old Yahoo Answers layout back?

Yahoo Answers has a new format now. I don't really like it. Sure it may be newer and easier to ask questions but why fix something that isn't broken? I see this being real similar to Triple H by changing how WWE is run and changing the mood of the WWE locker room. Yahoo Answers changed the way it looks and the users aren't really happy with it.

Yahoo Answers, if you're reading this, please put the old Yahoo Answers back. If not, at least have an option to use the old format. I've been here for a while and I really like the old format. It felt more alive with a green color. Now, the whole screen is white with very few colors.

Poll: Do you not miss the old green yahoo answers layout?

I miss the people and times more than the layout... I can still enjoy myself on here when the right people are here. I've been used to the purple format for a long time now. It just took a lot of good people with it... *tears up*

How can I get the old layout of Instagram back?

Ah, change. Some of us welcome it, others fear and loathe it.Personally, I'm not too bothered by Instagram's new app icon design, but you can change it back to the old design if the new one boils your blood.BGR was first to discover the method devised by app designer Juan Ramirez. Unfortunately for Android users, this trick only works on iOS.You have to do it from your iPhone, and it involves downloading a shortcut icon that's meant to take you to the web version of Instagram. But, since Instagram is installed on your iPhone, you'll be automatically prompted to open the Instagram app instead of going to the website. It's easy and takes less than a minute. Here's how to do it.First, tap and drag that new Instagram app icon to the folder where the apps you never use go to die. Don't uninstall it, though.Tech InsiderThen, tap this link to open this webpage. Make sure it opens in Safari. Scroll down a little to tap where it says "Tap Here."Tech InsiderThen, tap the square icon with the up-facing arrow in the bottom center of your screen.Tech InsiderTap Add to Home Screen.Tech InsiderTap Add on the top right.Tech InsiderAnd just like that, the old Instagram icon is back! It's essentially a shortcut to the web version of Instagram, but you'll be prompted to open the Instagram app itself because it's still installed on your iPhone. Tech InsiderNow, go forth and keep infesting the Internet with cats.Tech Insider

Old Yahoo Answers layout?

Am I the only one who misses the green layout, it made yahoo answers feel like a special place. The new white and purple is so ugly, no way to go back now, right?

What is a green screen application?

It’s basically a program which looks like this:These days it’s not just green, you can have a few more colours too, but historically the screens could only show one colour, and that colour was generally green, sometimes they were amber in colour. You see programs around like that quite a lot, when I was in a John Lewis in the UK, I’m pretty sure they were rocking an IBM mainframe back at HQ somewhere, and you see screens like the above in places like travel agents too.Companies often don’t want to replace green screen applications for a number of reasons, sometimes it’s that they’ve got a legacy system that nobody is confident about being able to adequately replace. Sometimes they’ve got an old, but good system which is working great and reliable, so why replace it? A lot of companies are not interested in fashionable systems, they just want something that works well, and if the green screen systems work, they’re not overly inclined to replace them. Also, this is a bit of a dirty secret, the green screens work better than the alternative. Some will say “We’ll replace this with a web app”, but web apps tend to have pretty poor usability and responsiveness. Green screens tend to work by entering data, press tab, enter more data, press enter, done. It becomes motor memory and they’re very fast to work with once you’ve got the knack of it. Not like a web app, which is often click/wait, type, click/wait. That’s not to say it’s not possible to make a good web interface, but it’s certainly rare to make a good web interface.Anyway, green screen application development is required by big companies with big budgets, and while most people are learning how to make web sites with Node.js or something, there will always be a lot of money available to someone who knows how to work with IBM mainframes, IBM OS/400, OpenVMS, and other less commonly known systems.
