My yahoo messenger opens, shows that I have mail, but I can't open my emails as its unable to read the setting
Yahoo is still having some problems at the moment. If you look you will find lots of people cannot send/receive/delete mail at the moment. I was advised to uninstall Javascript and then reinstall the latest version from http://www.java.com/. You could also try http://www.adobe.com/go/getflashplayer for the latest Flash player. This worked for me. If it does not for you then apparently it's only in the all new version. Try returning to the Classic version for now. yes, i am facing the same problem for about a week (i am in singapore)- and have tried the various methods online forum suggested. Only one idea worked for me - thanks for the person who provided the solution of using a lower browser like Opera 8.5. I managed to get into yahoo mail classic (finally after a week!) using Opera 8.5 after ignoring the request of Yahoo to switch to beta. my yahoo is configured to beta currently, but i notice that we can't switch it back now! Using opera 8.5, there is a place where they let you choose to download newer browser to go beta or just go to classic email directly, and there is a link here "switch back" at the top left corner of the page, but it does not work!! What's more - the page code for it is void! So the only way for me to view yahoo in a presentable manner (not the mobile text link) is to keep ignoring the request to use beta and use opera 8.5. But this is very unsettled and frustrating, why can't we switch back yahoo so that it can load properly with firefox and IE? i don't like to have another browser just specially for this issue. Yahoo has so far not providing any offical answers to the frustrated users around the world - this is very disappointing!

Google chrome new tab page is blank?
For the best answers, search on this site https://shorturl.im/au0ka You could try changing what page Chrome loads at startup by clicking on the Wrench icon → Settings → On Start-up → Open the New Tab page. It might also be possible that an AVG extension is causing the change, and to fix this you can click on the Wrench icon → Tools menu → Extensions and if you find an AVG extension you unclick the Enabled box to disable it or click the trash can icon to delete it.
Sudden zoom-out of yahoo mail page?
Click Page on the bottom line of your tool bars, scroll to Text Size and click there. The average size used is Medium, highlight that and you should be set. Or, it could be Zoom, where the average size is 100%, you get there the same way you got to Text Size.
I can't open yahoo mail - what is the problem?
YES! I have the same problem.. it freezes my browser and stops. I have to restart the browser and log back in. Lately, because of it, sometimes I have so many browser windows open that I have to hit the re-set button and re-start. I think it is the advertisements in teh banner at the top of the message page. They are probably poorly written scripts.. or not suitable for windows 98. I'm using win 98... it doesn't seem to happen on my laptop or my wife's PC or the one the kids are using... so I think it is a compatibility problem between the Yahoo! Mail advertisements and the operating system. My computer works just fine with Win 98 for everything I do.... and I am not going to upgrade just so I can use Yahoo Mail.
Why can't I open my Yahoo emails?
I cannot open my Yahoo emails! I can log on. I can go to my Yahoo email page but I cannot open any of the emails. I click on the email and get a blank page. I can't even go back to the page which show all the emails. If I want to go back to the page that shows all of my emails I have to click on home and then click on emails. What is going on? My home page is redirecting me to hsrd.yahoo.com and nothing is opening up. What can I do?
There are dozens of these complaints when you Google it, I have the same problem with my home computer. So far, there has not been one single answer that solved the problem, not one. Go into Tools and blah, blah, blah. Reset your router, that'll do it. And on and on. Then you get the ones that go into major geek speak and after all is said and done, I still get the This page can't be displayed. No one seems to know how to get rid of that hsrd.yahoo.com problem. Must be with Yahoo somehow, because no other site does it. On the other hand I mention the problem to coworkers, etc. and they look at me like I'm nuts, which would seem to indicate that it's computer-specific. Who knows? No one so far.
