How Do I Grow More Hair If I Naturally Dont Have A Lot

Will your leg hair naturally fall off if you don't shave? And is it bad if you do shave?

Shaving can make your hair grow in thicker on your legs. However not shaving isn't going to make your legs better. Remember your mom and you don't have the same exact genes and your hairy legs are probably from your dads side. My mom and I are like you and your mom. Except mine used to shave. She now has no leg hair. Why? Cause as you get older you stop growing as much leg hair as when you're a teenager. My mother never had as much hair as I do but she still shaved. As I've aged I have noticed a little less hair than a couple years ago. You should probably try as long as possible to not shave (cause it can be a pain) but not swear off shaving try to only shave when your legs are going to show. Also most women don't have enough thigh hair to worry about shaving so just consentrate on your calves an knees.

If I shaved my head, will my natural hair color come back?

Yes, by 100%.

BUT, it may grow slowly or none at all if you've straightened your hair in the past.

You're not experimenting with hair falls, are you? Hair dyes can do that, not today, or tomorrow, but one of the risks from hair dyes is hair falls.

What I'm saying, is if your hair once was healthy, and you've messed with hair dyes, and you shaved your hair, and your hair stopped growing or none at all, that's 50/50 your hair will grow back as healthy as before.

One advice don't: no supplements, don't change your diet, no steroids, no heating tools, no anti-acne products, or it could mess things up. Your goal is to have that healthy, natural hair as before.

Google: "Foods for Healthy Hair" - the website had moved, type it in. Two others also:

Growing healthy hair doesn't come from a bottle or pills and hair products do not speed hair growth. Any hair oil, is another form to keep hair moisturized, nothing more. If you're in HS, your hair & nails should be growing normally, and as healthily as possible, since you're eating healthy foods. But when hair isn't growing as fast, it's because they've been tempered with: chemicals, hair straightening, etc. . .

I know hair. I have over 4 decades of hair know-how. I have silky, shiny, soft, smooth very healthy hair down to my knees. Previously damaged by perming & dyeing in the 80's & 90's. I've known people in their 30's whose hair stopped growing from ironing their hair in the 70's. When I was in HS, my hair grew from bob to waist length in 3 1/2 to 4 years, and cut 2x a year.

Why can't black women grow long hair?

African American hair and ethnic hair in general is harder to grow because of the natural curl pattern. With hair in a tight curl pattern,it makes it difficult for the hair's cortex to absorb moisture.Over time,it becomes dry and breaks off at the ends, making it look as though the hair is not growing. The hair is in fact growing, but as fast as the new hair comes in,the ends are steadily breaking off.Making look as though the hair is at a stand-still.

It does have a lot to do with the bad hair products geared toward ethnic people, products that have terrible ingredients and make hair grow slow.Growing long black hair starts with deep conditioning to make hair strong. If your ends are strong and not breaking, you will notice more length in time.

Keeping african-american hair .........natural?

my mom kind has that "50s mentality''
my grandma on my moms side was 1/2 native 1/2 black , so she had curly bi-racial hair
and my mom was 3/4 black so its that kinky hair and my grandma permed her alot so my mom hair falled out now in dreadlocks..she keeps telling me i need it braided to have it NOT BREAK OFF
come on im italian/black and i see bi-racial kids and they have natural hair

i had braids weave in my hair ever since i was 5 and shes always paranoid about my hair, i dont want it permed but i do want it natural but she feels it going to break off and be un-healthy

help me out women!!!
