My hair keeps breaking off and falling out!!?

My hair is becoming thin and breaking off. I have been using a lot of treatments to help for moisture and damaged hair but, it's not helping the growth. Is there any secret meds that only docs give out to help my hair grow? It stops at my neck and I would really like it to be longer by christmas, maybe shoulder length or so. Any ideas??

Growing my hair out(Somali Guy)?

Hi :) It really depends on you, but it will be better if you grow it out now.
This is because when cold, the body & all things in it regenerate faster to produce or accumulate heat.
Please don't use a gel and/or hair spray. It will damage your hair in the long run, regardless of your texture.
Argan oil is amazing for anybody. It also helps heal the skin. Try to find organic type hair masks with Argan/ Moroccan Oil to do weekly. It will do a big difference in your hair. Most hair masks say leave in for 5-20 minutes, but honestly as long as its pure, I will leave it in for almost the whole day. Just make sure its a day you have time to yourself and if thats hard for you to do, then when your hair is wet and have the hair mask on, then place a shower cap to lock in heat & moisture to your hair for as long as you can.
Regardless though, after you clean your hair and your hair is still damp, then I would suggest a hair serum to avoid your hair from breaking and promoting your hair to grow more. A lot of people rave about Organix Renewing Moroccan Argan Oil Extra Penetrating Oil Dry & Coarse Hair. I saw at Target that it was in a gold brown packaging with the bottle shown as a gold like color, but when I just search it on the web, it had the original packaging of the blue bottle. It should be the same product, just different packaging http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productD...
You don't have to get this brand, but something similar to this. When your hair is damp and clean, apply a serum in your hair. Let it sit in your hair. If you want to straighten your hair, I would suggest to let the serum sit in your hair for at least 15 minutes, then style. Just make sure the hair is still damp before styling.
Overall, read reviews before buying. I hope I didn't confuse you :) Hopefully I helped :)

What do I do to stop my hair from breaking and making it long?

Fragile hair must be handled less frequently. Wash it no more than twice a week, but of course you may use conditioner daily. Trim the split or broken ends monthly but it's nonsense that a major trim does anything more than make your hair shorter. If you're not eating well, consider taking a B vitamin (Biotin): it may be very helpful and show results in about six weeks.Try to use a patting technique with a towel to help dry your hair, not anything rough. If you can air dry all the way, better and if not try not to use a dryer to 100% dryness. Use a product such as a leave in conditioner when you blow dry. Avoid curlers, ponytails, flatirons and the like.If you have a hairdresser, do speak to them and see what they suggest. Try only sulfate-free shampoos and conditioners.I know some are fond of natural products around the house for hair - your hair may be too fragile for that.A dot of jojoba, Argan or Macadamia nut oil throughout the day may help keep moisture in: more than than that and you'll have lank, greasy hair. Not a lot of secrets except don't put milk products on your hair. Yuck.

How long does it take for hair to grow and show after it has been pulled out from the root?

This is very tricky. Assuming there are no medical conditions involved or medication being taken, the hair should grow back as normal with your normal growth rate. But removing the follicle can slow down the process or permanently stop it. The hair didn't just break off, the whole structure was ripped out. But if you're healthy and its not a regular thing, it should grow back with visible hairs in a month or 2 or sooner.

How do I grow out my biracial hair?

Im just fine with it just growing 2 more inches, but I would like it to grow longer. Im mixed with black and white .I think my hairs pretty, but would be prettier if it were longer. My hair is down to my shoulders and I just think that is way too short. I get my hair relaxed about every 3 months at this dominican salon near my house. I straighten my hair about once a week, but I never ever blow dry it. Im not sure how often I should wash my hair because white girls wash their hair every 1 or 2 days, but black people sometimes go 2 weeks without washing. I heard mixed people should wash their hair about twice each week, so thats what I've been doing latley. My last relaxeer was 3 or 4 weeks ago and I dont plan on getting it relaxed again until around september. I want my hair to grow 2 inches by septmeber. I understand hair grows about 1/2 inch each month so if I take care of my hair Im guessing it could grow those 2 inches, but Im not completley sure how to take care of my hair so any tips would help.

My roots grow out but hair doesnt get longer?

You have what's called breakage. Trim your hair every 6 weeks, try not to use much heat, and watch how much you dye it and with what kind of dye. Box dye you get at Safeway or a drug store is terrible for your hair. Use the stuff at Sally's. And I know trimming it sound crazy, but I have the same issue, because I frequently dye my hair and use heat, and you can see my roots but there's no length change. Use a deep conditioner once a week just to get your hair more moisture. Also, don't wash your hair everyday. It strips your hair of the natural oils and oils are essential for hair growth. Hair breaks because of dryness and split ends. Hope this helps;)
