How Do I Jailbreak My Ipod Touch 4

Can I jailbreak my ipod touch 4g to get ios 7?

Jailbreak is a way to get unauthorized apps on an iPod - not to allow you to install a new operating system that your iPod is incapable of handling.

How do I jailbreak my ipod touch 4th gen iOS 4.2.1?

There is no untethered jailbreak out for you at the moment. Check this site for the latest updates on jailbreaking and unlocks. A new jailbreak/unlock is expected to be soon.

Jailbreak Ipod Touch 2G ? PB model.?

People, I've been trying to jailbreak my ipod touch 2G 8gb 4.2.1 for the past couple of days, but neither greenpois0n or redsn0w work. I looked and the model its not either MC or MB. Its PB.

If i try with greenpois0n everything goes fine until I have to download Cydia. When I click on the icon it says that there is no space for it and it wont run. It says Initializing and then it goes away.
If I use redsn0w it says that is not supported for this kind of ipod.

How can I jailbreak it? Please help!!!!

How can I jailbreak my iPod?

If you are on 4.1 and have never backed up your blobs, you will never be able to use JailbreakMe.com, simply because Apple has put protection in place to keep you from upgrading to a vulnerable firmware version. Updating your iPod with iTunes will bring it to 4.3.5 or iOS 5. These versions require use of a desktop computer application. You may use the desktop application developed by @geohot called limera1n to jailbreak 4.1. For 4.2.1 you may use greenpois0n. For 4.3.1 you may use redsn0w. For 4.3.3, you may use JailbreakMe.com. For 4.3.4 through 4.3.5 as well as 5.0, you may only use PwnageTool or redsn0w, but your jailbreak will be tethered, meaning you will need to connect it to a computer and rejailbreak every time your iPod is turned off and back on, hard crashes, or reboots. If I were you, I'd update it to 5.0 at your next opportunity and simply wait for the inevitable 5.0 untethered jailbreak to be released. My reasoning is that with the new iCloud integration, 5.0 will back up your setting to the cloud, so you won't need a computer to restore your data if things go wrong. You can probably make an appointment at the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store and have them update it for you. You will notice substantial speed increases and be able to enjoy a variety of new features without jailbreaking that were previously only available to jailbreak users.

Will I get the Jailbreak for my iPod Touch 4th Gen?

i was running on iOS 6.1.5 jailbroken an accidently got the iPod broken(booting problem) so i had to have it recovered from iTunes. When i recovered the iPod i got a new update iOS 6.1.6 which doesnt have the jailbreak. i jailbroke iOS 6.1.5 from p0sxpwn. When i looked in the internet for the 6.1.6 jailbreak, they say they wont give priority to update the p0sxpwn because the iPod 4th gen is a bit older. Will i get the jailbreak? When?

What happens when you jailbreak an iPod Touch?

When you jailbreak your device, you are able to many things, basically most the things android phones are capable of. An example would be to freely move files use iFile or customize your app icons and the way they move when you swipe em. I used to play PSP and DS games off my jailbroken device all the time. Also you can get free in-app purchases on pretty much all OFFLINE apps, as for the online ones, their may be tweaks if you want hacks for some of your apps. The best part though is getting apps for free^I highly recommend you backup your device to iCloud or your PC before you jailbreak, it doesn't always end up with success but it's highly unlikely to fail. I've been told by some other people that it caused there device to slow down a little so be sure not to get pointless “Tweaks”.Btw “Tweaks” is just the name of a certain program you install on your device which could just end up being an app or an extra setting for your apps.Oh and sometimes your springboard will crash so you'll have to reset your iPod when it does (that only happens when you install certain tweaks) but it's nothing major to worry about. Just as a heads up, your homescreen and lockscreen background will be black so don't panic and just reset your device^WARNING: This does void the warranty, so take that into consideration before you jailbreak.

Should I update my iPod Touch 5 to iOS 9, or just jailbreak it for iOS 8.4.1 or 9?

Do you want a jailbreak? If so, don't upgrade yet. There is currently no jailbreak available for iOS 9. It is expected that a jailbreak will be released with iOS 9.1.If not, then you should probably upgrade. iOS 9 brings a lot of cool features to iOS devices, and I think it's worth it. Your concern about performance issues is definitely legitimate, though. Your iPod will probably be a little bit slower than it used to be. Don't worry about it, though. It should only be really noticeable when you are using high-intensity apps. However, it might be worth it to wait until iOS 9.1 is released before you upgrade. The x.1 version of iOS usually runs a little more smoothly than the x.0 version.
