By nature POP3 email isn't real-time (Pushed), but instead "fetched" at certain time intervals. How do I keep my email by date in ascending order, keeps changing back.?
Placing the oldest emails on top whether in the New format or the Basic format will be temporary moves...Yahoo, as does most users, prefer the newest on top. No other option at this time.
How do I keep inbox mail in descending date order by default in Yahoo Mail Basic? (it won't save permanently)?
I recently switched to Yahoo Mail Basic. By default, my newest emails now show up at the bottom of the screen, on the last page. I want them to show up at the top of the screen, on the first page. When I switch "ascending order" to "descending order" in the sorting options menu, that fixes the problem, but it's not permanent - as soon as I view an email and go back to the inbox, new emails are at the bottom again, on the last page. Is there any way to make my newest emails be on the top, permanently? (by the way, another person in my family also uses Yahoo Mail Basic, and HIS new emails are at the top, on the first page. I do not understand why it seems to be impossible for me to set up the same settings)
Why does my iPhone storage keep filling even when I'm doing nothing? I keep deleting MB of photos, etc., but each night, the storage fills again, even when I do nothing with it.
Plug your iPhone into iTunes a note the size of "Documents & Data" and/or "Other".Those usually are the culprit. Just this week the same thing happened to me with Documents & Data. It began increasing at a rapid rate (it grew more than 15 gigs in 2 days). I hadn't installed any new apps, nor have I added any documents or data to my iPhone. I have everything iCloud photo sharing and Photo Stream off as well. Also under manage storage, I manually added all the storage the individual apps are using and they did not add up to the size of Documents & Data that iTunes is reporting.Long story short, manually removing individual apps didn't work and I couldn't figure out what or where this data is coming from so here is what I did and it worked:Backup your iPhone to iTunes.Make sure your Photos as backed up with Photos app (or somewhere else if you are using Windows)(This goes for Contacts, Notes and anything else you can think of, just make sure to back them up somewhere other than the iTunes backup, you'll understand why in a bit)Restore your iOS on your iPhone.Restore your iPhone from your backup. If the Documents & Data are reasonable (1-3gb) Congratulations!If Documents & Data come back to the large size they were, then you most likely have a corrupt backup in which case, Restore iOS on your iPhone again but this time set the iPhone up as a new iPhone.Sync everything again manually (since you have saved them somewhere other than iTunes)Yes this is tedious, but at least you'll get your storage space back. This is extremely helpful if you have a 16GB iPhone. Since then a new version has been released. (v2.12.15) Make sure you update to that version and wait a little while a see that the storage should return to its normal state.

Next thing I knew, I was drowning again. Then I admitted to myself that to really cure the problem I'd have to be ruthless in unsubscribing or saying no to newsletters and sources of interest, not to mention being more disciplined in pursuing "inbox zero." But that was not realistic: or consistent with my short attention span. Instead I realized that I would prefer to learn from the fire hose of e-mail, tweets, social media messages, etc. So instead of aiming for a slimmer inbox, I set out to find a more effective way to analyze and understand my messages. I am a big fan of data visualization. But I haven't found the solution that offers such capability for my inbox. Toutapp is hinting at it, but I haven't seen results so far. Google Analytics should be a natural to track and visualize my Google Apps Gmail account ... but for some reason it hasn't done so. Sorry, this isn't so much an answer as it is another part of the question. But I'm eager to find out if such an application is out there.
