Greetings Satya, If Outlook has been configured to delete mail from the POP server, then the messages will have been deleted from your account. If this command is sent by the POP client, the messages should have been moved to the "Trash" folder on the Yahoo! Mail webmail site. Items in the "Trash" will only stay there for a short period of time, so, if they are gone, it is lilkley that the system has processed the final deletion step. You 'may' be able to recover lost messages by applying for a restore. Use the "Yahoo! Mail Restore" feature to recover mails that have been deleted in the past 24 hours. This is if your trash folder is empty and your deleted emails are no longer available. Click on the "Help" button at the upper portion of the screen and then select "Help" once again from the options that appear
I received a "deactivation" request~then ALL Emails and Folders Disappeared~What Gives?
Please take note that there is a server crash or staff snafu affecting loads of Yahoo Mail accounts. What happens is that your account gets deactivated. To reactivate it you type in a capcha. Then when you regain access ALL folder and past emails have been deleted. To get the folders and emails restored this may be possible by going to http://help.yahoo.com/kb/index?y=PROD_MAIL_ML&locale=en_US&page=content&id=SLN2552&impressions=true Apparently Yahoo can restore emails only up to 48hrs after the loss. Whether it will actually happen, I do not know. If this happens to you first of all request a restore (anything in the last 48 hours will be lost anyway). If you have provided a mobile number then you will get a password on it. If you have not given any alternative email or password then also there is third way of recovering your password by answering your security question. While attmpting to login don't try a new system. In such cases where you don't even remember password login from a new IP address makes the server suspicious and may turn down your request taking you as fraudster. Therefore use your regular device (smartphone/laptop/desktop) which you always use for accessing your yahoo email to login. More than this I can't tell as I myself have gmail id. Whatever options I told just now are the normal options given by all service providers for email recovery
