What does it mean if a cat pees on you?
It could mean a few things. Most likely, the cat was afraid. he or she could have been angry at being restrained. If the cat is close to you there may be some reason he or she believed someone or some other animal was trying to lay claim to you. Worst-case, there may be some medical reason, like a bladder infection, neurological condition or injury.Or, you may have done something the cat is upset about. One night, over three decades ago, somehow I deeply offended a young female we had rescued from an abusive situation. We named her Nikki, and it had taken quite a while to win her trust. To this day, I have no idea what my transgression was, but during the night Nikki pooped in one shoe, peed in the other, then pooped on the nightstand on my side of the bed. She was sitting by the door watching me as I woke, smelling the gift she had left me. I almost put my foot in the poop shoe. She took off, and spent most of the day in hiding, then finally came out to visit my wife. It took a lot of gentle coaxing to get her to let me pet her again, but then we made up and were okay. I laugh about it now. I needed new shoes anyway.The point of that story is that cats are capable of a full range of emotion. They think, they remember, and they hold grudges.So, my advice is first to take the cat to a vet, if there is no medical reason, examine your relationship with the cat very closely. Don’t hold her when she wants to get down. Nurture your friendship with her. Remember, from her point of view, she does not belong to you, you belong to her.
How to get cat pee out of my bathroom rug... why? And how can I make them stop?
My cats are sneaky lil buggers. Last week I found out my cats had been using my upstairs bathroom rug another option to relieve themselves. We had no Idea they were doing it. It smelled bad in the bathroom but we just assumed it was because the litter box is in the closet. Anyway, once I did find out I threw the rug out because it was basically destroyed. This week I found our new bathroom rug in the downstairs basement freshly peed on. Why are my cats doing this? And how can I make them stop? Also - If you know, can I put bathroom rugs in the washer? They have the rubber bottom... or is it not worth it. I've heard from some people say that you cant get the pee smell out no matter what.
Cleaning Cat Pee from Suede Shoes?
Cat urine is a real pain in the a** to remove. But at this point, what do you really have to lose? If you really love these shoes, I'd consult a shoe repair professional first. However, be prepared for a "sorry, can't do much for pee shoes" kind of response. Many professionals won't even try this because pet stains are so difficult to remove. If you are desperate and ready to try the extreme, then: Go to a pet supply store (like Petco or PetSmart) and purchase a product called Nature's Miracle. It's an alcohol based product with an enzyme that really does neutralize cat pee odor. Use it BEFORE YOU USE ANYTHING ELSE, otherwise it won't work as well. Now, generously douse your shoes with the undiluted solution. If you don't completely saturate the stain, it won't work. Let the shoes dry COMPLETELY. This could take up to two weeks. When dry, take a good sniff. Still smell cat pee? If so, repeat the above steps. Personally, I'd douse both shoes completely - treating only certain areas may lead to uneven color. When dry, use a suede brush to restore the nap of the suede. Once you are sure you have eliminated the smell, you may wish to use a traditional suede cleaner to help condition the suede. How to remove cat pee from a bathing suit?
My cat pees on EVERYTHING. The only way i can ever get the smell out is by just washing it again. After you wash it, too, keep in mind that the chlorine you swim in will overpower and kill all the bad smell stuff. So it doesn't really make too huge a difference. Just wash it a couple of times (cold water) and then swim in it a few and it should be good as new!
