How Do I Make My Ebay Listing Look More Professional

What is the most important part of an eBay listing?

I think the most important part is the product you’re selling. That’s not exactly what you’re asking, I realize, but if the product isn’t desirable, then the rest doesn’t really matter. As for traditional answers:Title. If you screw up the title, then you risk never being found. Zero traffic means zero sales even if the rest of your listing is perfect.Gallery photo. Once you appear in search, the gallery photo becomes pretty important. Ideally, a perfectly white background and a clear, well lit picture of just the item you’re selling. In a few categories, you can tap into eBay’s catalog and use stock photos. In some categories, it is ‘more acceptable’ if the image doesn’t look professional, but most categories benefit from professional looking photos.Description. What is it? You need to provide at least a basic description. The less well know the product is or the more technical the product is, the more detailed your description needs to be.Taxonomy. List in the right category, complete the relevant item specifics. The more popular the item/category is (really, the more products that appear for the most likely search terms), the more important this is — don’t get dropped from search results b/c someone hits a filter and you didn’t bother completing that field correctly. There are other obviously important parts of selling on eBay, including: seller rating, item price, shipping price, shipping speed, and return policy. Bottom line, you can’t just do one thing well and expect to be successful. Retail is detail. Pay attention to all of the details.

How can I sell clothes online without using eBay or Paypal?

HAVE YOU LOST YOUR MIND???? Okay that sounds a little harsh but think about what you are saying....

I do not know you or your fly by night internet company, yet you want me to call or mail you my credit card Information? Good luck with that! Many people are spooked and will never buy anything online even with secure transactions. Do you realize the risk you are taking with the info you would have (if a person was foolish enough to do it) if their info was some how stolen from you. Finally if you have my card info, how do you plan to get your payment with it, call the credit card company? They will have you arrested.

You see paypal is giving you a service & that is why they are taking a percent. They are letting people know that their transactions are secure. They are letting them know, that you will never have their card info. They are letting them know that with any dispute, they will help to resolve it. Finally, they are giving you a way to get the funds into your bank account. You do not have to use paypal, you can use any merchant account service to do the same thing, People just use paypal cuz while they do charge you, it is a lot less then others (to include your bank) would.

Does listing new items on eBay daily increase sales?

I would focus on quality versus quantity. To give you an example: Several years ago I was selling only a handful of items on eBay, the category was very competitive and I didn’t have an obvious advantage over any of the other sellers. Moreover, my supplier was actually an eBay seller himself and he sold the same items for a lesser price.I decided to focus on the quality of my listings and spent a lot of time optimizing them in terms of design, professional look, trust etc.I became obsessed with creating the perfect eBay listing, and spent a lot of time on optimizing a small number of eBay listings.Very quickly my listings began ranking higher on eBay and sales increased, not long after I was ranked #1 in 5 different eBay sites and selling more than any of my competitors.I had to learn html and design in order to create professional looking eBay listings as there wasn’t a solution like Crazylister back then.IMPORTANTThe combination of listing new products while creating them in a professional manner is the key to growing sales. Growing an eBay business is process, optimizing your sales in a process. Not only that, it’s a never ending process as there is no limit to the level of optimization you can apply to make your listings more professional and convert better.Don’t believe anyone who’s trying to sell you that it’s easy to make money on eBay, if it was easy everyone would be millionaires. It’s hard and requires a lot of work, I would focus on the quality of work as it’s the most fruitful path to increasing your sales.P.S if you find this helpful, would appreciate an Upvote :)

Why are the eBay listing templates so ugly?

I can't really speak to the large variety of free templates I see online (you can do a quick google search of eBay templates to see what I mean - there is some tragic looking stuff out there), but I can tell you one thing - the biggest players in the eBay template generating department are hugely lacking in modernized design. eBay itself doesn't have a template solution and neither do most eBay compatible software. Except for one. That's actually why I use CrazyLister, a web based drag and drop editor where you can build your own templates from scratch so you don't have to be forced to use terrible templates that looked like they were created circa Windows '95. Plus CrazyLister's templates are mobile optimized = they look great on a tablet, smartphone, and a computer. My overall answer to why are most listing templates so terrible: because most people opt for free templates (you get what you pay for), or waste your money on expensive dinosaur software that are so rigid they don't even allow you to design your own template, and even then, most generic templates still look bad. If you want some wiggle room, and a modern look, then CrazyLister is the listing tool for you. There are tons of awesome templates to choose from, and if you think they are terrible, you can just create your own from scratch, it's insanely easy. It's like WIX for eBay templates.

Ebay is it easy to start selling?

I would like to start selling on ebay, but after reading all the rules and regulations it sounds like a minefield, is it quite easy, i have already set up my name and paypal but am not sure what to do, i think when you start you can only start selling stuff for a minimum amount £100 i think, anyone outthere got any good and practical advice or even a book with brief and concise details on how to start, and any tips would be grateful.
