How Do I Make Text Appear On An Image Based Off Another Text Field In Microsoft Word 2010

When I try to text wrap and image in Word, it disappears. I will still the outline of the image but...?

In Word 2007:
1. If you are in Draft view, then switch to Print Layout view (View | Print Layout), because objects that are formatted as something other than "inline with text" are not visible in Draft view.
2. Click on Office Button | Word Options | Advanced | scroll down to the "Show document content" section, check the "Show background colors and images in Print Layout view" and "Show drawings and text boxes on screen" boxes and uncheck the "Show picture placeholders" box | OK.

In Word 2003 or earlier:
1. If you are in Normal view, then switch to Print Layout view (View | Print Layout), because objects that are formatted as "float over text" (Word 97) or as something other than "inline with text" (Word 2000, 2002, and 2003) are not visible in Normal view.
2. Click on Tools | Options | View tab | check the "Drawings" box and uncheck the "Picture placeholders" box | Print tab | check the "Drawing objects" box | OK.

What is the best way to overlay text in Microsoft Word?

To have text appear “on top” of other text or objects in Word, set it within a text box (Insert > Text Box), then right-click it and choose Format Text Box to change the wrapping style Layout to “In Front of text”.Additional options are available via Layout’s Advanced… button to specify very specific position controls and whether the box moves with the anchor text position. You can also use tabs within the Format Text Box to set borders and fill for the text box, and how the text within it is aligned. The screen shot below shows how text boxes can be set to overlay what is below (text and image) or allow the text underneath to wrap around them.

How do you make text a mirror image in Microsoft Word?

You could probably adapt my answer to this question about how to display text upside down. In step 3, use Drawing Tools, and choose Rotate > Flip Horizontal.

Is it possible to "un-anchor" a text box in Microsoft Word?

Simple, Right click the text-boxes and select "Format-Frame" option and then un-check the "Lock Anchor" and Check "Move with Text" check box.

[INSERT TEXT HERE] microsoft word 2007 placeholder?

I hadn't thought about this until you asked, but I investigated it and here's how:

1. Put the cursor where you want the field to go.
2. Press CTRL/F9. This should put in a pair of field brackets {}. Note: I don't think just putting two curly braces in from the keyboard will work.
3. Between them, type this in:

MACROBUTTON NoMacro [Put Your Text Here]

Note: In your descriptive text, you can use text effects such as Bold, Italic and Underline, just as in normal text.

When you're done, press SHIFT/F9 to hide everything but your descriptive text. SHIFT/F9 will toggle between showing and hiding all such fields in the document.

Hope that helps.

Printing problems with Microsoft Word 2007? Please help.?

It sounds like you are putting text into text frames, rather than straight onto the page and have not clicked right button of mouse, wrap text to make sure that they stay where you want them to and don't go on top of one another.

However, if this is so I am wondering why, in a word processing program which is designed for text that you are using text frames. Completely unnecessary. I would advise if you have text and pictures, to work in a table environment - you can always remove the borders if you don't want it to appear as a table, and then put text in whichever cell/s you want and pics in others, but with the pics still wrap text so the pics stay put, i.e. lock anchor. If you are indeed using text frames, you don't see the blue of the frame till you click on it.

Although everything is possible in Word these days, as it is for a magazine, do you not have Publisher which is the obvious choice of program.

Hey guys, I wanted to stretch the text as I am making labels with the White Adhesive Name Badges in Microsoft Word. I want to stretch the text within the box from top to bottom and side to side freely, not scale it with a percent. I have Microsoft Word 2010. I am trying to stretch it freely as if it were a picture. How can I do this?
