What are seven things you hate in Germany?
I’ve been lucky to live in Germany, and I love so many things about this country.Belonging to an animal species which gets annoyed quickly over small things, and loves to complain; here’s my list. Do keep a pinch of salt handy.1. ContractsTelephone? Gym? Internet? Car sharing? Utilities? – name it, you’ve got a contract for it. Most of these contracts are long term commitments, has a lot of fine print and it is extremely difficult to get out of one. Most of them get renewed automatically (I mentioned the fine print), if one doesn’t pay enough attention. ‘Pay-as-you-go’ somehow isn’t really a thing here.2. InternetGetting an internet connection set up in one’s new apartment is a nightmare. Too expensive, too many choices, takes too much of time. Oh, did I mention one has to sign at least a 2 year contract to get one.The LTE and 4G on mobile networks – don’t even get me started there.3. Specialist DoctorsWant to go to a Cardiologist? An Ophthalmologist? An ENT? An Orthopaedist? The wait to get an appointment is ridiculous.Oh one has to go their “Hausartzt” (General medicine practitioner) first to get a recommendation to get an appointment from a specialist.4. Gas station PricesWater, Soft drinks, Beer, Candy, Croissant, Condoms, Coffee – whatever one buys at a gas station; is way overpriced.5. ARD-ZDF TaxEvery household in Germany has to pay a mandatory broadcast contribution of €17,50; whether or not one owns a TV or a Radio. Only a few people can be exempt from it. Not paying it can lead to serious consequences.Though I like the idea behind it, it is seriously annoying.6. Indian FoodIndian food in Germany sucks; there are no two ways about it. Despite having a decent sized Indian/ Pakistani/Sri Lankan community, somehow no restaurant other than “Saravana Bhavan” in Frankfurt, gets South Asian food right. The restaurateurs usually point their fingers at Germans for this, but I don’t agree. Whenever I cook authentic food for my German folks, they love it. Take note Indian restaurants, no raisins in the chicken curry please. My girlfriend loves this, and I hate her passionately for that.7. Dinner for One Dinner for One[1] on New year’s eve. Enough said.Footnotes[1] Dinner for One auf Hessisch hr fernsehen
Help in history!?!?! (World War II and I) Few questions i need answering please...!?
WW1 happened because of the expanding imperialist countries. Major countries like France, Austria-Hungary, and England. They all wanted more land and resources to become even more powerful. The Nazi party is the National Socialist Party. They believed in a strong government and promised to turn Germany back into a world power. Communists believe in a form of government called communism. Communism has the idea of equality for all and ownership for all. While this idea sounds great on paper, it will never work because of people's greed. The French and British created the Treaty of Versailles. It was a harsh treaty that forced the Germans to pay reparations to Great Britain and France. Hope this helps. Good luck.
