How Do I Plan An Entire Vacation To London

What did you like about your vacation in London, UK?

In a nutshell… EVERYTHING ! From the tourist trap to guided tours with London Walks and pubs. I visit London every year so there is always something new to visit. Last time we loved the Emirates Air Cable and coming back to Westminster by River bus - Thames clippers. What I truly enjoy is going somewhere and “getting lost” ie. sending time discovering small lanes and church gardens and admiring the architecture.

How do you plan your vacation in London?

First you have to start with how long. Then who's going with you (i.e. kids) attention span and what you really want to do. Then you need to get a London travel guide or app (We like Lonely Plant) or visit web sites. Then based on how long you are going to stay, map out the top things you’d like to and and how long it will take to see them. Most sites are separate but give you a map of where they are and how long it normally takes to visit. Check Viator tours, hop on hop off, London Pass, or pay a travel agent to set up an itinerary.ieWindsor castle is an entire day.Bath and Stonehenge an entire dayBuckingham Palace and Mews 1/2 day (check if Buckingham Palace is even open)Hyde Park and Kensington PalaceBrighton at the shore - full dayWhite Cliffs of Dover and castle there full dayYou get the idea. Get to work and discover where you want to go.

Vacationing in London, England...do they have a sales tax?

As the above states all prices are inc of 17.5% VAT (Value Added Tax) However you can claim it back I think(lucky you!!). There will be info available at the airport and hotel on how to do it.

Tax is included in your bill in restaurants. Some restaurants add a tip (normally 12.5%) some don't. Around 10% is normal

Have fun!

What are good ways plan the perfect honeymoon in London?

The most romantic resturant in London is fairly cheap so go there (Clos Maggiore, Voted the Most Romantic Restaurant in London). Last minute tickets to the theatre are cheaper. Most of the best museums and gallerys are free and brilliant so make the most of it. Timeout London allows you to filter by free activities. Page on Lastminute allows you to book secret hotels (like 5 Stars) with huge discounts. It's usually fairly easy to work out where they are, just copy and paste the info on the hotel into Google and play about a bit to get the exact location.

Should I vacation in Hawaii or Europe?

Hi all!

I have spent many hours trying to plan a vacation to Europe. This vacation would include (currently): Germany, Italy, France, and London. It would be about two months long or so (I'm still working on exact dates). But it looks like it may be unrealistic because of my budget. I would love to have it next summer because after that, I'm going to college and wouldn't be able to do it for many years. I'm planning this with my family; I'm just the main organizer.

So I was thinking that maybe INSTEAD of going to Europe, we could vacation in Hawaii. It would be much more practical and cheaper. We could stay there longer, and not stress beforehand about all this money we're spending. Do you think this a good idea?

So my question is if you think we should just keep save for awhile and go to Europe, or go to Hawaii and not stress?

Also, is Hawaiian Airlines good? I've read different websites about it and the bad and good reviews are pretty balanced.

Thank you so much!

Elizabeth

What do you plan on doing after you graduate?

Are you going to start college right out of high school?
Are you going to go on a vacation before you start? Or are you just going to stay home and enjoy your last summer of doing nothing?

If you have graduated already, what did you do?

For me, I plan on taking a trip to London since that's what I've always wanted. I've already begun to save for my ticket and everything else I'll need. I hope to stay there for the entire summer but we'll see.

You?
