Why can't I join on LAN with my brother in Minecraft?
If your brother has a world running and you can't join, try the following things.-Make sure you and your brother are on the same wireless network.(I'm not sure if this is the problem if you are playing on Mac, but it worked when I was playing my Kindle Fire)-Make sure he has “Open to LAN" turned on.-Make sure you and your brother are running the same version.(I'm not sure if this is actually required, but it might help)-Maybe try shutting down Minecraft then opening it again.If you have tried all of these methods and are still having problems, try contacting Minecraft's support

that's not the newest version of minecraft... that's a snapshot. so you woulden't be able to connect anyway download Minecraft at http://www.minecraft.net after signing in. if you do not have a valid minecraft account, then you will not be able to join his server unless he sets "online mode" to offline. but that is andvanced troubleshooting and i would not reccomend doing that unless you know what you are doing
