How Do I Play Skyrim On Pc With Xbox 360 Controller

How do i use my Xbox 360 Wired Controller to play Hitman Contracts for the PC?

If you have a standard Xbox controller (not 360) you can usually assign the keys to correlate with keyboard functions. I used this on games like worms, for example x button does the same as x key on the keyboard.

I've not used a 360 controller with a pc, so cannot suggest anything else.
However if you don't have a normal Xbox controller, ignore me unless you can borrow one to test :) It may work out to be a waste of money for your game.

Will I be able to play Skyrim on the computer but with a controller?`?

I'm not sure about the PS2 controller. I know u can use the Xbox360 and the PS3 controller (with interface software like "Xpadder").

I would think since u have gotten your PS2 controller to work with other games, that it would work for Skyrim.

They also make a nice wireless PC controller that is pretty much identical to the PS3 controller. And this one works well with Oblivion, so I would assume it would work well with Skyrim also.

How do I configure my USB controller to Skyrim PC?

If your not using an xbox 360 controller, and i dont mean a controller just looks like one either, then you'll have to use a program called xpadder.

You can download it from here.

Why would you use a xbox controller for Skryim ont he PC? That defeats the purpose of playing it on PC! Also way to admit on an account with a user specific name that you are running an illegal version of a game. I hope they fry you!

Mass Effect 2 on PC with a controller?

Not sure about that file, but there is a very simple program you can download called JoyToKey that lets you map your controller buttons to keyboard keys for games without controller support.

To use it, once you have it installed and have the window open, test the buttons on your controller. When you press a button or move a thumbstick, you should see a corresponding row become highlighted in the list of buttons joytokey shows (scroll down if you don't see one light up). As an example, I haven't played Mass Effect 2 on PC but I assume you use WASD keys to move, so what you would do is press your left thumbstick forward on your controller. You should now see a row become highlighted in JoyToKey (for me and my Razer Onza controller, that button is labeled "Stick 1: [up arrow]). Then, press Bulk Edit Assignment and then type W on your keyboard. Click Finish. Now, when you move your left thumbstick forward on your controller, the letter W should be typed. If so, then you know it's working. Now, look at your ME2 keybindings in the program, and use JoyToKey to map each of those keys to a button on your controller. Enjoy!

Why can't I select any options on Skyrim's menu on the Xbox 360?

I have recently downloaded Skyrim from XboxLive and within less than half an hour of playing I realized there was a serious issue when selecting an option on the menu. Where if it is in the favorite list of items and/or skills, start menu (Quests, General Stats, System), or the menu to select Skills, Magic, Items, or Map. Many of the times I try to move the d-pad around and joystick, there are no responses. I have tried two different controllers of mine and still the same result. However, when I exit the menu and decide to move around it works flawlessly. I would have to remove the batteries of the controller before being able to maneuver around the menus. Does anyone have a solution as to how I can resolve this problem?
