How Do I Prep For The Nys English Regents Examination

How hard is the nys english regents?

It's super easy. It's supposed to be the common sense regents, so dont make stupid mistakes. Read carefully and write well. I got a 100 on it, so it is possible, unlike CHEMISTRY!!! You'll do fine so long and you take your time.

Should I retake the English regents?

I've been in English honors for the past two years and it's one of my best classes. I actually want to be an English major in college. I came out of the test thinking I did very well and that the test was very easy, but this morning I found out that I only got an 85.

I know the English regents is supposed to be one of the easiest regents, so I was kind of shocked (before this I've never scored lower than a 96 on any regents!). Would it be worth it to retake it?

And furthermore, what could you recommend to get a higher score, because I have always been told by my teachers that my essays are very good, so I'm not sure how I could do better.

Thanks!

Is the listening part of the English Regents hard?

I'm going to take the English Regents tomorrow and Thursday. I want to know whether the listening part of the English Regents is hard or not because I don't have anyone to read the passages for me to practice note taking right now (I have Barron's review book). And if anyone has any suggestions or opinions on other parts of the exam, I would be much appreciate because my English teacher didn't have much time to prepare us for the Regents. Thanks and good luck to anyone who is taking the exam tomorrow! :)

How hard is the living environment regents exam?

I was so nervous today, I was about to throw up and I had to keep getting up to pee. I think I did fairly well. I used all my time, and when I finished fifteen minutes early, I went back to check my answers, I prayed the night before and I studied TWICE! Anything I wasn't familiar with in the packet I studied. I did a practice regents and scored a 69, and I also did the 2011 NYS regents exam and it was so easy. I scored an 81. I'm taking the ecology class, for students who have repeated LE once before. They said that if I don't pass this time around I will have to take it again in June.

Problem is, I will be in the hospital in June so I'm not able to due any regents exams in June. They said that anyone can also take it in August. I'm nervous. I'm in a class of mainly juniors and a handful of seniors, I fear I'll be a in a freshman course. And I don't want to be one of those.. But how is the LE graded? How much is the multiple choice worth? And how much is short response worth? I also did the English today, I got nominated. I think it was pretty easy, and I know I passed that. But I AM REALLY SCARED FOR THE SCIENCE EVEN THOUGH I STUDIED. PLEASE HELP!!

When do you find out your scores for the august regents exam?

probably when u go back to school
or check jmap.org in about a week and you can see what you got right and wrong.

How many times can you retake a regents exam?

I've gotten A's on all but two of my regents exams so far. While I did well in French, Math, Spanish, English, Bio and Global History I didn't do as well on Chemistry or Earth Science - I received a 75 on both exams even with retakes. I was wondering if it was possible to retake a regents exam more than once? And if not, how do I fare with my grades as they are on getting into a good school, not ivy league of course, but maybe second tier schools?

Grade 11 English exam essay help?

I have my exam this Thursday, so even if you could help me with a thesis that would be great!
My teacher has given us the question, and our class has read Macbeth, The Catcher in the Rye and If You Come Softly by Jacqueline Woodson.

' "As we advance in life it becomes more and more difficdifficultin fighting the difficulties the inmost strength of heart is developed." -Vincent van Gogh

The quote by van Gogh suggests that wisdom is gained through experience; especially if that experience is difficult. Even though the situations characters find themselves in may seem detrimental at times, the strength they gain from perserving ultimately contributes to their success as an individual.

Formulate a theses and write an essay in which you assess the extent to which at least two characters from at least two diferent major works learn and grow from teh difficult experiences they encounter.'
