How Do I Prevent My Hair From Breaking

Stop/Prevent Hair Breakage?

The best and most affordable way to help prevent the damage is to do a simple conditioning treatment.

Break out your favorite conditioner, and don't be stingy with it! Apply it all over your hair, making sure you've saturated each and every strand. Then put a hair net or plastic baggy over it and blow dry it on hot. With the blow dryer, you aren't drying your hair, you're just making it nice and hot in there. Once you feel that your hair is warm all over, remove the baggy or net, and massage your scalp and run your fingers through your hair to cool it off before washing it. After you've cooled off your hair, rinse out all of the conditioner with warm water. Do this a couple times a month, or whenever you feel it is necessary and you will have amazing hair.

You can also get conditioning treatments done in salons and beauty schools everywhere, but they are more pricey.

As for split ends dear, they never actually go away, just make sure you get your monthly trim.

What can I do to prevent my fine hair from matting?

Hair will generally matte up when it is either damaged, dry, or has a build up of the wrong products. I'm going to give you product recommendations as well as steps to help you.Products:1. First thing is to use a clarifying shampoo to make sure you don't any product build up such as silicone which can be found in a lot of shampoos and products. Joico has a wonderful clarifying shampoo that also puts the hair's PH balance back into place while keeping it moisturized. I use this product myself once a week to keep it clean.2. Since you have fine hair, it is best to use a plant based shampoo and conditioner that is free of silicone. Phyto has an amazing line of this type that you need and can also be found via online or at Sephora stores and some Ulta stores.  3. Using an argon oil will help keep the hair smooth and moisturized without making the hair greasy. I recommend Sexy Hair Soy Renewal which can be found at any chain type salon. Depending on the length of your hair, you'll want to use a dime size to a nickel size amount into the hair. Apply this to the hair after you towel dry it.Treatment:A keratin treatment is one of the best hair services that's ever been made to the public. This keratin treatment will strengthen the hair and allow it to be smooth, as well as, straight if you so desire. If your hair only mattes up in parts of your hair, you can ask a stylist to apply the treatment to just that area so you shouldn't need to pay the full price, but if all of your hair is the same way, then just go ahead and get the treatment done all over.I'm VERY sure that this keratin treatment will alleviate your problem. This treatment lasts up to 3 months and then goes away so you would need to keep this every 3 months or so. You will obviously know when it is time to get it redone when you notice the hair will tend to matte up again.Keep in touch and let us know which method you have chosen and how it's working for you!

Hair breaks off in the shower allot. How do I prevent this?

For the record I'm very gentle. I use head and shoulders because I have dandruff and sometimes selsun blue. My hair is already very damaged from bleach. So I don't want to do anymore. I used coconut oil yesterday and it was breaking off even then. My hair never used to break this much. Btw I eat healthy.

What can I do to stop my hair from breaking off?

Omg i have the same problem !
I want my hair to grow at the mid of my back but i have split ends which makes my hair break off .
Get a haircut so all ur dry ends and splits ends will cut off . Your hair is probably really dry . Try to avoid heat products like hair straighteners and blow dryers . Condition ur hair everyday . After u take a shower , dont comb ur hair right away cuz ur hair is really wet which means that ur hair is easy to break . Just wait till ur hair is a little more dry . I suggest u buy de-tangler spray . Lol i use that it works , i buy like some suave (this >> https://www.overstockdrugstore.com/product_images/z/079400812704.jpg )
It smells soo yummy and it'll make ur hair more easier to comb .

Hope i helped !

What do I do to stop my hair from breaking and making it long?

Fragile hair must be handled less frequently. Wash it no more than twice a week, but of course you may use conditioner daily. Trim the split or broken ends monthly but it's nonsense that a major trim does anything more than make your hair shorter. If you're not eating well, consider taking a B vitamin (Biotin): it may be very helpful and show results in about six weeks.Try to use a patting technique with a towel to help dry your hair, not anything rough. If you can air dry all the way, better and if not try not to use a dryer to 100% dryness. Use a product such as a leave in conditioner when you blow dry. Avoid curlers, ponytails, flatirons and the like.If you have a hairdresser, do speak to them and see what they suggest. Try only sulfate-free shampoos and conditioners.I know some are fond of natural products around the house for hair - your hair may be too fragile for that.A dot of jojoba, Argan or Macadamia nut oil throughout the day may help keep moisture in: more than than that and you'll have lank, greasy hair. Not a lot of secrets except don't put milk products on your hair. Yuck.
