People tell me that I am boring. How can I improve myself?
Actually, I think I am a pretty boring person myself, but I am working on improving.There are many wonderful answers here to these types of questions (on being Boring). We are lucky to have a community of writers here in Quora. Let me summarize what I have learned myself in the recent few months. I will try to keep it short so that it will be readable:Do interesting things - travel, go to the museum,work on your hobby, volunteer, etc..Join a a club of similar-minded people, people with same goals, or a hobby-club where you can meet new people.Tell your stories about adventures. You may also want to relate your personal stories - problems that you are encountering and how your working to solve them.Trust people, open up to them, they will reflect - Trust the people surrounding you to listen. When you relate a personal story it connects with the other person and builds a bond. You would be surprised that the problems you are facing will interest them. I have found that so many people are really interested and have similar issues with their children after I told them about my daughter’s emotional swings and lack of emotion regulation.Listen to their Personal Stories and be truly interested or feign interest. Once you get open with people, they open up to you, and they will tell you their own personal stories. You may feel bored in the beginning, but feign interest. This pretend action has the effect of making you actually feel it, train yourself to get interested eventually they may become interesting to you. Then you are truly interested in other people.This will pretty much help you improve and be less boring.I wanted to add another tip: I am also working on my hobby on a daily basis. This fills me up with positive energy and fills my Life with Passion. The good energy radiates and people absorb it. I explore new avenues and connect with people. SO if you can run those four steps and in the background do something you like passionately (such as a hobby), this is the beginning of the Journey out of being boring ….it is interesting to get used to this new turf.

They form their own audience (through subscription module) and have to cater to their needs,...playing into users' egos. User Profiles : Adding videos to your faviorates, subscribing to different channels, upploading your background, having a wall for other people to share their hate/love for you on.... Easy sharing and Embed-able Flash Player : User get to show off their videos on other websites, forums and MySpace profile without the need to know much coding or paying for hosting. At the time most video hosting websites required you to use windows media player or real time player (which took forever to load,...BUFFERING ZZZzzzZZZzzzZZzzz),... instead they used flash,...most users already had it (no installation needed) and loads much faster...
Can barcode scanners read barcodes displayed on an iPhone or other smartphones? Why or why not?
Laser based scanners, which are still very common because they are extremely inexpensive, can not read the image of a barcode displayed on a smartphone screen. A laser based scanner uses a tiny motor to sweep a low powered laser across the black and white spaces of a traditional printed barcode. At the same time, the laser is being modulated into pulses of light of varying lengths, not completely unlike Morse code), determined by the quantity and thickness of the white spaces separating the black lines. A simple photodiode measures the pulses and a computer applies an algorithm to determine the code was correctly read, and then sends the barcode like very fast keystrokes. 2D (two dimensional) scanners use a small camera that instantly records the image, which is backlit (the very thing that 'blinds' traditional scanners) and sends the verified output to whatever POS or computer it is connected to. A 2D scanner is traditionally lit, if necessary, by ordinary red LEDs and some do incorporate a laser generated aiming pattern and that is really just to assist the operator.
Can I take a decent sized screenshot of my QR code (for a fasttrack airport security queue) or does it have to be a print out for it to work?
I take screen shots of my QR code all the time so I can get through airport security fast if my phone is acting up or I can’t find the right reservation on my Apple Wallet. It works great.
