How do you clean a fish tank if there are eggs in it?

If your fish have laid eggs and have not eaten them all, then the only issue is that you should not siphon any water out from near where the eggs were laid.If they were laid on the bottom then you will have put off siphoning the bottom until after the eggs hatch and the fry are swimming freely. And then take care not to suck up the fry when you siphon. If eggs were laid on the glass or a rock or heater, then you can clean up as usual, but don’t expose the eggs to air. Don’t let the water level drop below where the eggs are located. Maybe do smaller water changes more often for a week or two. Most eggs hatch within a week and fry are usually able to swim freely within a week after that. That is speaking very, very generally, of course. Every species has its own timing for these things. But it’s not that long to wait and you can still do water changes. Just take some care not to disturb the eggs when you do the change. But the sad fact is that unless the fish that laid the eggs were cichlids or one of the few other species that takes good care of eggs and fry, chances are that most of the eggs will be eaten by the adult fish anyway. That’s very commonplace. If you want eggs to hatch and fry to survive, you need to let fish spawn in a separate tank and remove the adults before they eat them all afterward

How often should I clean my Glofish tank?

I have two Glofish (no, not goldfish) in a 1 gallon tank and I've had them for 2 days. Their tank is already starting to look pretty dirty, but I never thought I would have to clean their tank this often! Could someone help me out? I'm really looking for someone who knows about keeping tropical fish; not just about betta or goldfish.
