How Do I Put Drives Back On Thats Missing

What would happen if you drove a car with only 3 wheels (Missing wheel is a rear wheel)?

When the Citroen DS/ID (front wheel drive) series hit the new car lots, it was a favorite stunt by sellers to show that the cars could be driven safely, if carefully, with one rear wheel missing. This was mostly because if one were to draw diagonal lines making an X between the tire footprints, the center of mass of the car would be quite a few inches ahead of the crossing point, The cars with, say, a driver and passenger aboard had a 66/34 weight bias. And the rear wheels were a little closer inboard. Even the spare wheel assembly, tool kit and muffler was just behind the bumper. If you watch Jay Leno’s video, you will see that he keeps his tire and tools in the trunk. Seems to have an A/C fan, etc. at front.Another advantage was that the ride height and stiffness could be increased in manually changing the damper settings by operating a small lever in the cabin, so the car would not lean as much in turns. Most of the FWD cars on the road have about 60/40 weight bias, so three wheel driving in an emergency would be feasible at moderate speed and gentle handling. Please see also:

How can I get back my lost files from a partition in my hard drive? (Urgent)

FIRST!!! — and it’s apparently too late for this — rely on your backup. You’ve been told many, many times to back things up so I’m sure you’ve done that. Or not, I guess. Ok.FIRST!!! — and it’s apparently too late for this too — make a clone of the drive so that the things you try don’t ruin your chances to find those files. If you run recovery software on the only copy of your hard drive, and it doesn’t work, you are probably lost.FIRST!!! — and it’s apparently too late for this too — print out life and death documents once in a while. After those things have failed you, you need to remove the drive, put it into a drive dock, Amazon.com: Sabrent USB 3.0 to SATA External Hard Drive Docking Station for 2.5 or 3.5in HDD, SSD [Support UASP and 8TB] (DS-UBLK): Computers & Accessories connect it to another computer, and run SpinRight on it. GRC | SpinRite OverviewIf that fails, you need the big guns. Extract the physical hard drive and send it off to a service like DriveSavers. It has been professionally recovering data from hard drives for years—even drives that have had catastrophic failure or other problems. It's expensive, but DriveSavers are the experts who will recover the file(s) if it's at all possible.Good luck.

Is it possible to drive a car with the left front & back right tires missing?

No, it is not possible to drive the car in this condition without modifications.Besides the fact there will not be any way to drive the axle is the vast majority of cars. With one wheel missing from the drive axle, the axle without the wheel and tire will just spin. There will be no rotational force applied to the present drive wheel. There is also no way to control the balance side to side, causing the lower panel edges to drag along the road. Steering would be difficult to manage as well.

What should I do, if I went to fast-food drive through and find missing items when I was already home?

You forgot rule of life #37! Never leave a fast food joint without first checking your order!Could you drive back and have them fix it? Of course. Could you call them and arrange some kind of credit the next time you show up? Maybe. Could you bring your receipt back another day and ask for credit? Usually. Is any of this really worth it? I say no! Your time is better spent memorizing the rules of life.I bring my elderly mother to McDonald’s six days a week to have coffee with her friends. 95% or more of folks that have to-go orders check them before they leave. It doesn’t matter if it’s the drive-thru or grabbing a bag inside. Just about everyone checks as they are wrong a lot. Sometimes the order is correct but the condiments are missing. Or utensils are missing for the breakfast plates. It goes on and on.I occasionally see one of the 5% folks come back. They walk in with their bag in their hand and anger on their face. Sometimes they want a missing item. Sometimes they want their entire order replaced because the screw up has caused everything else to get cold. Occasionally they yell and scream and demand a refund. At my MickyD’s they are almost always accommodated but that doesn’t always make them happy as their carefully planned day has been screwed up!One day I was temporarily incompetent and forgot rule #37 myself. My highly anticipated Quarter Pounder with Cheese turned out to be a Fish Sandwich and a hot Apple Pie. Yuck!

99 ford explorer missing rear drive shaft, now having transmission problems.?

Hello I purchased a 99 ford explorer 4x4. The 4wd switch did not do anything so I never messed with it since I drive only on pavement. Well I was tinkering around underneath the truck and I noticed my problem. The Rear drive shaft was gone. My understanding is that explorers are Rear wheel drive when not in 4wd. So what I can assume is that I have been stuck in 4wd but and just pulling from the front. For the last week or so I have started having transmission problems. It will not go into 4th gear (i think thats the one) It shifts kind of rough but will not go into fourth at all so I end up driving 30mph at 3500rpm. I was wondering if I purchase a new drive shaft and get it back into 2wd is there any chance that would help my tranny issues or am I still going to need to fix that as well? I know its hard to diagnose like this but any advice would be great. a co worker also advised me to look into the ECU or ECM. any ideas?

What happens if you drive your car with no power steering fluid?

Contrary to the other answers, steering a car with failed power steering is quite possible. It is difficult at low speed, and extremely difficult when stopped, but it can be done. You'll build your arm and chest muscles doing it for any extended period of time.My '87 Mercury leaked power steering fluid like a seive, and I was still able to drive it - even pulling a trailer - without the hydraulic boost. But the other answers are correct that doing so can and eventually will cause the power steering pump to fail. That in and of itself is bad, but it's not the worst thing, especially if you are far from home when it happens. Most modern cars use what's called a serpentine belt to run the engine accessories: the air conditioning compressor, alternator, power steering pump, and radiator fan are all run by the same belt. If one of these fails, the belt can snap, leaving you with an engine that will quickly fail due to either overheating or lack of electrical power. In short, keep at least enough fluid in the pump to keep the shaft lubricated, even if it's not enough to make the system work.
